I'm worried. The elite guys are off the board and this is a deep draft. We might get another Colvin-type pick here.

Barnes is my pick. Guerreri wouldn't be bad. Springer would be okay. Not huge on Jungmann.

Projects to be a great defensive SS, but there are questions about his bat. Depending on who you ask, either he's a guy with patience and developing power, or he's a an aggressive contact-oriented hitter with good plate coverage and not a whole lot of power in his swing.

 

In other words, he's the kind of hitter I'd rather the Cubs avoid.
