Pacers played very well no doubt, Collison probably had the game of his young NBA career, they went 10-18 from 3, 10-18! Reminds me of a tournament game were the 14 seed shoots out its mind for one game. Just don't see the Pacers going 10-18 or likes there of again and the Pacers haven't seen Bulls' best yet.

On ESPN, just now, Chris Mullin just said that Rose's assist to Noah for the and-one dunk was "eerily similar to Jordan's passes to Paxon and Kerr."

You're probably right. My mind just went to the Noah pass because it was awesome. Rose's push off on the spin move was eerily similar to Jordan's on Russell, that's what he should have said.

It is pretty crazy. Even with two of them being end of quarter threes. Thats still 0 for 7 on "normal threes" His 3 looked really bad though. It does not have nearly enough lift on it.

 

He only took one other non 3PT jumpshot, which he made. Everything else was in the paint.

 

And some people on the NBA forums are saying its some conspiracy he got to the line 21 times.

Of course they are. I watched the game, and not one of his FTs came on a phantom foul.

 

He maybe had one blocking call that should have been a no call (where the defender was set and Rose slid mostly out of the way). But they're pretty consistent about that call so that wasn't really even noteworthy. Rose earned his free throws. (even though it brought to mind the very similar game where Paul Pierce went 21 for 21 from the foul line against the Pacers in a opening round game 1 that was also at noon and he did not earn those free throws).

 

I actually thought the officials did a good job today. Only a few plays for either squad that should have been called today and only possibly one in the last few minutes.

If you choose not to trap off the P&R or double him outside the free throw line Rose will have high FT attempt numbers. He didn't even really take any midrange jumpers at all.

Also, Vogel picked up his first tech of the year today.

 

This was Deng's second tech of the year, the first also being against the Pacers.

 

Deng must not like someone on the Pacers or something. I don't think we've ever seen that kind of emotion out of him.

 

Yeah, I mentioned when it happened that I've never seen that type of emotion from Deng in 6+ years with us.

 

Also echoing the 'Carlos Boozer is a bitch' sentiment. I miss early season Boozer.

i'll say it again. korver= clutch. he's has a crazy amount of big clutch threes this year. i also liked him and deng pumping up the crowd. i've never seen deng like that.

The height Rose got in this pic is absolutely ridiculous.

It's "only" like 32 inches given the leg bend.Yeah, got to love the little guy jumping several feet off the ground there. Also, do Pacer fans really hate Noah after today?

 

It was interesting to see Deng get pissed and for him to call on the crowd, especially since it worked.
