I'm not smart enough to know much about coaches that aren't the top guys like Jackson or Rivers, etc, or my own, but at first glance this would seem to be an ok fit.

That's how I feel too. You could do worse than Adelman.

Yeah. He led Sacramento to the most successful stretch in the history of the franchise (including previous stops also). Each of the eight years he was in Sacramento, the team had a winning record and made the playoffs while in the 18 years he wasn't the head coach, they have no winning records and two playoff appearances. And in Houston, he seemed to get the most out of his talent there, even taking the Lakers to seven games in the playoffs a couple years ago.

I'd definitely be fine with the Lakers hiring him.

Rivers agrees to 5 year extension in Boston.

The value of the contract is believed to be more than $6 million per year, a source told ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher on Thursday night.

Can we fire Danny Ainge and replace him with somebody better. Like Elgin Baylor? Is it too late to tell Rick Pitino we're sorry?

Cannot wait for the Jeff Green extension.

predictions for the next round?

Heat over Bulls in 6

Mavs over whoever in 6, maybe 5 if Peja keeps shooting well

I can't pick Heat bulls because I'm too emotionally involved. Normally, I'd pick against the Heat here, just based on the fact that they haven't really impressed me in the postseason, and in general people are piling on their bandwagon right now. Those are 2 red flags I usually avoid. But at the same time, how much of that thought process is my bias against Miami (independent of the Bulls). And of course, if I pick the bulls, I honestly can't tell how much my bias plays into it.

So I'll pick the Thunder to close out the Grizzlies tonight and then to lose in 6 to Dallas.

If I'm going homer, I'm going full-homer.

Chicago over Indiana in 4

Miami over Philadelphia in 5

Boston over New York in 5

Atlanta over Orlando in 6

San Antonio over Memphis in 5

Oklahoma City over Denver in 5

Dallas over Portland in 5

LA Lakers over New Orleans in 4

Bools wee-un.

Do you actually think Dallas could beat LA, let alone in 6 games?

The obvious answer here is YES.

Boo Celtics, but I'll stick with the ridiculous homer pick, Bulls in 4, Dallas in 7.

Bulls in 7, Mavs in 6.

Dirk then breaks all of your hearts.

We've all seen 6 titles and this team is pretty young. If that happens it won't break my heart.

In reality, I like the Bulls chances more the longer the series goes. If it goes 7 I think the Bulls will win. If they get game 1, I really like their chances. If they drop game 1 they desperately need to take either game 3 or 4.

3 minutes left in an elimination game and durant's only taken 11 fga. c'mon.

he picked up two cheap fouls, well, one cheap foul, but the second one sent him to the bench. Anyway, he's done nothing but float around the perimeter the rest of the game.

only five 2-points attempts in 36 minutes for kd. how does that happen?

Not to pull a umfan but here goes

he had 6 points and 3 boards in the first 2 minutes, but picked up the second foul and went to the bench. When he came back in, the Grizzlies defended him with either Battier/Allen+Thabo's man or Battier/Allen+Gasol if Perkins was on the floor and Thabo wasn't.

He had no energy when he came back in, and the double teams dominated. Really disappointing performance in a closeout game.

yea i only saw the second half, but he just looked weird. not like he was scared, but like he was uninterested in turning the game around. that perception is probably wrong, but it was weird seeing KD play like he did.

Out of curiosity, what is 'pulling a umfan'? Making excuses for a poor performance of a star player?
