Westbrook I'm with you. I know he played really well, but that'll last until the next time he goes Starbury and shoots them out of a win.

I normally hate the "Praise Jeebus" stuff too, but Durant actually seems to be genuine about it. he seems to be a rare kind of great player, which is good for casual fans to catch onto. OKC as a market has the perfect player in him, which is good for the league.

Perception is funny, though; for all I know he's doing blow off hookers in his spare time.

Read this

I skimmed that this am, but reading it again...good stuff. I retract my blow/hookers hypothetical.

It was a good article, Durant is exactly the kind of player that the league could use. I also hate the praise Jesus stuff too, but if he came out and said he spent every Sunday morning in church I would believe him.

Dirk has 46 points on 15 shots.

And Durant has 40 on 18 shots. Not nearly as ridiculous as Dirk, though.

For those who have watched the whole game, are the refs just calling it really tight? 54 fouls and 77 FT's combined.

Yes. You can't look at Dirk without a foul call. You can't touch Durant without a foul call.

It has to be at least a little concerning for Dallas that Dirk was darn near perfect, Westbrook was terrible, and the only won by 9 at home.

Meh, they had a 9 day layoff so they probably weren't playing to the fullest of their abilities. I missed most of the game though but I'm speculating. Both teams will make adjustments and play differently so I don't put much stock into how close the game was...the important thing is they won.

Nowitzki finishes with a true shooting percentage of .939, a new playoff record. Previous record was .825 in 2001 by Vince Carter (he got 50 points on 29 shots with 9 threes).

And Barea was nearly perfect. Though on the flip side, Durant did have 40 points on 18 FGA's, plus 8 boards and 5 assists.

For the longest time I thought this was the only reason Barea was even on the team.
