And allegedly Paul is going to declare. Good luck with that, Brandon.

This is a terrible year for fringe players to declare. With the fear of a lockout last draft, you basically have a double-stacked draft pool this year, which pushes players who might sneak into the end of the first round into the middle of the second, and solid second rounders out of the draft.

there's no way

I don't know, if his off court judgement is as piss poor as in on court judgement, he might just do it.

he pulled an april fool's day joke yesterday and said he'd be out for 7 months, then retweeted a guy who told him he just gave illini nation a heart attack.

in any event, his leaving would give mean more henry, which is a great thing.

Is anyone besides Gail Fischer talking about this, because she's less connected than I am.

Not that I'm aware of. I'm just hoping it's true.

I'm surprised that so many places are setting IU as their early #1 team in the country for 2012 or at least top 3 (I'm guessing they're assuming Watford is coming back). Is there really nobody better on paper out there? I figured IU would start in the top 10 and maybe top 5, but I really didn't think they'd go right to the top. Of course which person ends up leaving IU to make room for the recruiting class might change that number.

Haha, I figured it might get taken that way. In this case, there's little to brag about...Indiana's question marks are still going to be question marks whether they're #1 or #10 to start. I'm just surprised. I wasn't for sure that they would be considered the favorite in the Big 10, let alone the favorite in the country. I guess most of the top teams from this year are losing significant pieces.

Best case scenario would be Zeller and Watford going pro, Hulls challenging Yogi to a death match, and Crean's cocaine addiction and recruiting violations being exposed.

Having no idea who Kentucky's freshman class is, I feel pretty confident putting them ahead of Indiana.

who does OSU lose if Sullinger comes back?

who does OSU lose if Sullinger comes back?

Just Buford, unless DeShaun Thomas leaves.

And they have a talented freshman group that mostly sat the bench this year. 0 recruits coming in at this moment. They'll be strong, especially with Sullinger, but I don't think most people expect he'll be back.

Yeah, they had four 4-star guys that pretty much didn't play ths year. Matta has landed a slew of 5-stars in recent years. If they're down at all, it won't be for long.

Just can't recruit anymore without Groce. :)

I'm thinking a case of addition by subtraction, Leonard is a much bigger lose.

Well that's obvious. But Leonard leaving was expected. BP leaving would be a pleasant surprise.

I'd actually like Paul to return and play in a style of offense that suits him better.

Yeah, I don't really agree with everyone driving a semi over Brandon Paul here.

Great defender, great in transition, great slasher, worst shot selection I've seen in years.

so did we. i guess that means we won't be down for long either.

Ohio St. could also be losing up to three 5-star players (Buford, Sullinger, Thomas). Depending on if they pick off a top late recruit they could slide back to the pack next year.
