how the [expletive] is colorado state's rpi 24? they are 6-6 in mountain west (6th best conference maybe?) and their best non-conference efforts are getting smoked by duke and so miss. and they have the 6th best SOS in the nation??? what the hell.

I was reading an article the other day that was wondering the same thing. It was concluded that they were a RPI outlier or something.

Saying the RPI is a flaming load would've been more accurate.

ETA: I'm not exactly wild about USM at #16

One game tomorrow night and then one weekend remaining and the Big Ten seeds are still up in the air quite a bit.

Well, Indiana is locked in at the 5 seed now at least.

I don't believe there's a single seed settled. And if I figured it out correctly, tomorrow's game won't settle any seeds either, regardless of who wins.

ETA: he's right IU is locked at the 5.

What would be the 3rd tiebreaker for OSU/Michigan if they tie?

Unless they changed something, it's record vs the top team in conference, on down until the tie is broken.

the best thing northwestern has going for it is the lack of bad losses. worst loss is @ minnesota or home vs. illinois.

Yes is true but its really hard to say someone is tourney caliber when they can only manage 2 wins against the 12 likely tourney teams they play in a season. Their RPI (however useless it is) and SOS is good but I can't see the committee choosing NUs resume over a bubble team with a similar resume.

I hope I'm wrong though because I really want NU to make it.

I think you are overestimating who the teams are that they are competing with for the 66th, 67th, and 68th spots

That or he means Myers Leonard would choose the non-Bruce Weber team since Bruce is a big meanie that makes him cry.

Meyers maybe a baby, but he was outclassing the greatest player ever, Cody Zeller, until the IU home court took over.

Yeah I meant after that in case they both split with MSU. Found the rule:

A. Two-team tie:

1. Results of head-to-head competition during the regular-season.

2. Each team's record vs. the team occupying the highest position in the final regular-season standings (or in the case of a tie for the championship, the next highest position in the regular-season standings), continuing down through the standings until one team gains an advantage.

a. When arriving at another pair of tied teams while comparing records, use each team's record against the collective tied teams as a group (prior to their own tie-breaking procedures), rather than the performance against the individual tied teams.

b. When comparing records against a single team or a group of teams, the higher winning percentage shall prevail, even if the number of games played against the team or group are unequal (i.e., 2-0 is better than 3-1, but 2-0 is not better than 1-0).

3. Won-loss percentage of all Division I opponents.

4. Coin toss conducted by the Commissioner or designee.

He shouldn't have fouled Cody's elbow with his face.

No, but IU does have the league lead in FT attempts locked in.

Nope, by my calculations, Michigan and Wisconsin hold 2, 3, and 4 team tiebreakers over them, while Indiana has 2, 3, and 4 team tiebreakers over Purdue.

They're tied in the standings and play each other Sunday.

Whoops, for some reason was thinking Purdue was a game back.

I think Sosa was just trolling a little.

He wanted his nose to be as swollen and ugly as Zellers. That's dedication.
