seriously?

well, for one, rick pitino is the coach of final four bound louisville. some guy nobody has heard of is the coach of illinois.

how exactly does that mean it's a better job? Because it currently employs someone with a better resume?

So, then Texas Tech was a better program when Bobby Knight was the coach?

Boston U was quite the plum job back in the day.

We don't understand him, he's too smart for all of us.

But, I'd say we are top 15. I think we are just outside of the top 10. Thus I edited it. Remember, I'm not a genius. I make mistakes.

I like your list a lot better. But, I'd argue that UCONN s Calhoun and will fall apart fast after he is gone as it doesn't have a huge recruiting base nearby. I also don't think that Georgetown is a better job either. But, at least you listed Indiana.

UConn will be fine. What is it, 2 hours from NYC and a half hour from ESPN?

UConn is adopted by NY when it wins, but is largely ignored for the most part.

Kind of like Illinois and Chicago's relationship?

how about instead of asking me to say why final-four bound, flush-with-cash, rick-pitino-employing, 6th-most-final-fours-of-all-time, two-time-national-champion louisville is a better job than illinois, why don't you guys tell me what illinois has over louisville.

yeah, how's that working out for you.

I think Louisville has been to 3 elite 8's since 2007. That could be wrong, going just off of memory. They also play in a basketball crazed state, huge support, and a brand new NBA like arena.

I think the Illinois/Chicago tie is stronger than UConn/NYC. UConn is half Boston and Syracuse is more of the de facto in-state school of choice despite being further away.

And Pitino is done within 3 years.

We were ranked the number 6 program all time by the Saragin ratings. So good.

so when you hired your most recent coach, you got the sixth best coach in the nation, right?

Nobody in big cities care about the local team, because the city is populated by alums of other universities.

Lol, yep good point. I guess Kentucky needs to fire Cal to go get Self. You know becuase the best program in turn needs the best coach. Oh wait, that's not really how this works.
