One game tomorrow night and then one weekend remaining and the Big Ten seeds are still up in the air quite a bit.

Well, Indiana is locked in at the 5 seed now at least.

No, but IU does have the league lead in FT attempts locked in.

Nope, by my calculations, Michigan and Wisconsin hold 2, 3, and 4 team tiebreakers over them, while Indiana has 2, 3, and 4 team tiebreakers over Purdue.

They're tied in the standings and play each other Sunday.

By my calculations, Purdue has a 0% chance of winning on Sunday. :-"

Wow, I thought South Florida was a product of a somewhat easy Big East schedule but they just beat Cincinnati and won at Louisville tonight. I think they are tourney bound.

They were, but they seem to have gotten better when it matters most. Good for them. Stan Heath is an outside contender for conference coach of the year.

He has to be the favorite. Has to be.

Nah, it's the emptiest 12 win conference record I've ever seen.

Still it is at South Florida. That's like a guy going into the Big 12 a couple of years ago and winning 12 games with Colorado. No matter what his conference schedule looked like he should get coach of the year imo. The coach and school can't help the conference schedule.

Right, he had nothing to do with the conference schedule breakdown, so he shouldn't be rewarded for getting to play it.

Each Big East team plays 3 teams twice. USF got the 13th, 14th, and 15th place teams twice.

Don't care. I still wouldn't have believed that they could win 12 games going into the year even knowing that fact. Heath has done a very nice job there.

They just won 20 games 2 years ago.

Somehow Lunardi still has Northwestern hanging by a thread as his last team in the tournament. They'd better win at Iowa this weekend.

9-9 in conference. Of course they had Dominique Jones, but I think being terrible last year is jading people's opinions of where the program was.

At this point, I just don't see how. I think they need to beat Iowa and win their first Big Ten Tournament game to have a legitimate chance. I think Lunardi is incorrect and the tournament committee would/will "reward" a mid-major team with guady record over Northwestern (without the Wildcats making a Big Ten Tournament run).

It would be hard for me to blame them either -- this isn't exactly how it works, I understand, but Northwestern has been presented with multiple opportunities recently to "earn" a bid and has failed. And I've been rooting for them (short of the game in Bloomington, of course).

I think that just shows you weak this years bubble is. Plus, they have to find 3 extra teams every year now which will water down the tournament even more.

My team hasn't been to any tournament in 6 years and that's been bad enough. Edited by bcl412

Yes, Lunardi, you [expletive] overgrown Jerry Mathers, Illinois needs to beat Michigan, @ Wisconsin, MSU, and Wisconsin/IU to make the tournament. Northwestern, eh, beat Iowa, that'll do it.
