From the completely random (as far as I can tell) department:

 

Anthem: Jim Cornelison, who performs a stirring rendition of the National Anthem at Chicago Blackhawks home games, will sing the anthem Saturday night at Allen Fieldhouse. KU officials have requested the students continue singing the correct words, “Home of the Brave” instead of “Home of the Chiefs” at the end of the anthem in respect for the song as well as Cornelison.

 

He didn't go to KU. Wonder how that came about.

At least it doesn't sound like something he can't come back from. Loyalty board says Weber asked if they wanted in, it was up to them, Henry chose not to. You still go in at that point, but it's nothing that's going to prevent him from coming back next year when Bruce is gone.

 

and klee has these scout board monkeys all thinking that players are going to split if bruce is fired. it's the other way around

Which scares me. Klee is the DIAs mouth piece, they better not be thinking of bringing Weber back.

 

Oh, come on. There's no need to make things up to freak out about. I told you, once PMan started allowing open speculation about a new coach, it was over. These threads wouldn't last an hour in years' past. He's a raging douche, but he's connected and he knew it was over.

It's what these idiots yell down here. I guess cause in their minds the Kansas city chiefs are a dynasty that needs to be yelled about. Nevermind to my knowledge the chiefs haven't played any games in Allen field house ever.

Yeah, it's really, really stupid.

 

I don't mind it as much as Arrowhead, where at least there is a connection.

 

And it's far less obnoxious than what they do in Calgary during our anthem, when they yell "C" and "RED" when those lyrics come. I don't get offended at the Chiefs thing or think it disrespects the troops or anything. But it irks me that Canadians are doing it with OUR anthem.

 

And I realize now that this has nothing to do with college basketball...

It's dumb at Arrowhead, and it's mindbogglingly dumb at AFH. I believe KSU students do it, too. It's pretty groan-worthy,

I had heard on the radio that Illinois fired their basketball coach, but didn't hear the whole thing. I later found out that it was the women's basketball coach. Then I was sad.
