I want to see Angelo go on the attack against the [expletive] fans and media and try to set an example for other sports organizations. The Bears would be in a good position to do it, too, since it's not like they'd lose out on ticket sales or other means of financial support.

I'm curious what more you want him to say than what he already has.

i would like to see him refer to said fans as meatballs.

Pretty much. I mean really go after the fans. Just tell them they don't know [expletive] about sports injuries and to at least go on wikipedia the next time they want to attack one of their player's manhood just to feel better about their own sexual shortcomings.

Or something like that.

Peppers fined $10k for the helmet to helmet hit on Rodgers.

Weak.

Good it was a cheapshot.

Would it have even been helmet to helmet if Rodgers didn't turn his head into him? I say Rodgers initiated the contact, and he should be fined.

Honestly, as far as helmet to helmet fines go, $10k isn't too bad. Clearly the NFL didn't think it was that cheap of a shot.

Shouldn't have even been a penalty. Hit his shoulder, glanced into the helmet.

I just looked at the slow mo close up shot again and it did not hit shoulder first or just glance into the helmet. In fact, I have it paused where the C on the helmet is pushed up against the side of Rodgers chin. It was a classic helmet to helmet hit that should have been fined. But it wasn't likely intentional so I agree with just the small fine.

Really just needs to smear some blood on his pant leg.

Or jelly. Stop at a bakery and kill two birds with one stone.

The funny thing is about this whole thing is, despite the claim in that one article that he had tears in his eyes during the post game (a claim that I haven't seen anyone back up), I have to think that Jay Cutler doesn't give a [expletive] about all this crap. That's just Jay. He doesn't care, he'll go to dinner after the game, he'll go walking around LA with his celeb girlfriend who he knows will attract attention. He's just being Jay Cutler, he's playing the game for him and his team and doesn't give a [expletive] about what anyone else thinks or whatever other controverseys popup. If he cared, he'd probably have a knee brace on, or walk with a cane or whatever. But he doesn't even walk with much of a limp. Because he doesn't care if people think he's tough or whatever. He knows he's tough, his teammates know he's tough, his friends know he's tough, and that's good enough for him.

At least that's how I imagine things.

Honestly, that's part of what I love about Jay Cutler. When the media would attack Rex and his teammates would defend him, I felt like he needed that. I'm glad Jay's teammates are defending him, but I don't feel like he needs that. He's fine.

I think this whole thing just kind of reinforces Jay's "I don't care what anyone else thinks" attitude.

the roughing the passer was bs. his helmet does hit Rodgers shoulder, thats why Peppers helmet twists before it hits Rodgers helmet. the only other thing he could have done was to put his helmet in front of rodgers, but even then it would have likely slid up his chest and into rodgers facemask

its a no-win for Peppers.

Yep, this whole ordeal makes me love Cutler even more.

It was a penalty. That's the classic definition of a helmet to helmet hit on a QB.

The rule is you can't hit the QB in the helmet with your helmet. It sucks because it wasn't malicious at all(and doesn't deserve a fine, IMO), but that's the rule and if you don't want to get flagged, you have to hit him differently/lower.

Right.

I've seen a defender put a hand on Peyton Manning's helmet, which has resulted in a flag. If that warrants a penalty, the Peppers hit definitely deserved a flag.
