It's definitely not luck either. I put 75% of the losses solely on McCarthy with the other 25% coming on injuries to Rodgers and Matthews.

because you're looking at this irrationally. what the [expletive] else do you call (Crosby) hitting the left upright with 1 second left to force OT?

Wasn't that a 53 yard FG attempt? Crosby has a leg, but at best, that's a 50-50 kick.

Sure, it's a tough kick. But it hit the post (evidently, I honestly don't remember this either way). It could have bounced left, right, in, out, whatever. You're talking inches -- maybe less -- from being a good field goal. That's luck. How else would you describe it?

yea, but a quarter of an inch the other way, and he would have missed completely

Uh . . . yeah, of course. And that refutes my point how?

Crosby has no control over not kicking it at the goal post in the first point? this isn't just "bad luck"

where he kicked the ball lent itself to luck

the Packers have avoided leaving their games at the hands of chance better than most every other team (i.e. blowout wins), but the games they weren't able to, they fared terribly (2-6 record in games decided by less than a TD). aberrations like these are why smart people don't lean very hard on W-L record

this should really be obvious common sense stuff, i'm being trolled so hard right now and for some reason i'm still feeding it

being trolled? I just dont agree with your reasoning here. and bad execution is exactly what leads to losses, not bad luck

that's really just an easy dismissal of a complex situation

it wasn't really bad execution that prevented the Bears from falling on any of the Redskins five fumbles not lost and it wasn't good execution on the Bears part to will Calvin Johnson to "not complete the process of a catch", that's just dumb luck stuff

i was mostly joking about the troll comment

I wanted to say something Charlie Conway-related about that comment but I didn't know if that was you were going for. Well done.

Nobody ever needs that.

And then how many of those 20 fumbles would the ball have inexplicably stayed in bounds?

funny you mention that, considering it was the jacobs fumble that was the turning point in the giants game. that was a hell of a bounce and a blind swat.

Ok sure, but it was a 14 point game at the point. Given the final score, I don't think that was a huge turning point play.

the Giants were driving and could have made it a one score game in the 3rd quarter.

Biggest playoff home underdog used to be the 2000 Saints, who were 6 1/2 point underdogs to the Rams. The second biggest was 4 1/2, which has happened twice.

The Packers have not trailed by more than 7 points all season long.

Am I hearing that right?

That's pretty impressive. That said, I hope they lose by 8 points or more.

Think bigger picture, we could play the Seahawks again, lets not pass up this opportunity

First team to do that since the 1969 Vikings. And somehow we lost six games this year.

Ahhhhh NFL Playoff weekend. How I missed thee. What I even missed more is that KC is hosting a playoff game. It's been since 2003 season that KC last hosted a playoff game at Arrowhead. I know KC doesn't have a very good track record of playoff victories (last win was in 1993), but, considering that this was a franchise that won 10 games in the previous 3 years, I'd gladly take a playoff oppiturnity, even if we lose. Not to mention that KC, by most accounts, is a very young team.

With Scott Pioli and Todd Haley, I feel that KC is a team that is going to be on the rise and a force to be reckoned with, but time will tell.

With that being said, I am going to the playoff game this Sunday, section 109, Row 5, endzone seats. It's gonna be cold, but damn well worth it. Hopefully they'll finally get us a win. If not, well, at least we can move forward in the future, fully knowing that this team is a young team, not a team that was plagued with old veteran team (see 2006 as reference).

I'll be at Toon's bar (Chicago's Chiefs bar) wearing #58, keep warm.

Good to see you on here Gar. Been awhile. I hope everything is going well for you. Yeah, it's going to be pretty chilly tomorrow. Just hope that the winds won't be outragous, which they're saying just 10 mph, so if that's the case, I'll survive.

Alright. Let's see if these bozos can even compete.

Tossing INTs isn't going to prolong the competitiveness of this affair :)

I've never been there for anything other than a bunch of noon Chiefs games on Sundays. I'm gone by 4.
