So is that dude from the Oregon defense with the long hair going to be in the draft. The Packers have to be salivating at the chance at drafting him, he'd fit right in.

Not sure who you are talking about but is it Casey Matthews? He's Clay's younger brother.

The Bears are going to go either Liuget or Nevis, assuming one or both is on the board in the 1st round. Indy, NO, and Seattle (if the Bears win Sunday) will be the teams that worry me about picking DT in the 20s, where both should fall.

I would love Liuget on the team, a good friend of mine was a tutor of his while we were in school, he was a straight dude. He also is good at football, and pairing him up with Peppers would give us one destructive defensive line.

But if anyone has a brain we have to go offense with almost every pick in this draft

Or Stephen Paea (if you're going DT).

i'd go with the best OL, WR, or DT on the board.

Lol this board is going to be awesome if Jerry doesn't draft OL in the 1st round.

Personally I'd put DT at the #3 need behind OL and WR.

I'm ok with not drafting OL in the first round. Unlike raw, I'd like to go WR in the first round actually. But I think Jerry can address OL in the middle rounds and FA. Depending on the labor situation of course.

I won't go nuts if he goes for high quality and still addresses OL elsewhere. It is not just the lack of high draft picks spent on offensive linemen that is troubling, but also the lack of secondary picks spent on them. They've spent a little free agent money, but they have either overspent on guys with not much tread left on the tires or spent big on mediocre players.

What they can't do is go into the next season with Cutler remaining the only elite offensive talent on the team. You can't saddle him with mediocre receivers, second rate running backs and a bad line. If you can't find an elite reciever or RB talent to add to the mix then you absolutely have to improve the line.

Crap... Justin Blackmon leaning towards returning for his junior year at Oklahoma State.

I'm hoping he leaves too, but if he stays OSU is going to be really tough just a notch below OU. I won't be surprised to see a team from the Big 12-2 in the MNC next season.

What sucks is their will be no FA before the draft in all likelihood. And players won't be able to be dealt during the draft either.

It'd be really nice if we knew whether or not we were going to get a Matt Light or a Logan Mankins to enhance the O-Line or if we were going to sign a Braylon Edwards to be our go to receiver.......

I wouldn't mind WR. But I'm not a big fan of Michael Floyd or Jonathan Baldwin. If Justin Blackmon comes out and is available when the Bears pick, he's the type of talent that you can't pass up to me. A top CB would be nice too, as the Bears are on borrowed time with Jennings and Tillman being even servicable.

The Cowboys can always trade you Roy Williams ;-)

Sadly, he might be a viable option as he did have success in Martz's system in the past.

That may depend on how far the Bears advance in the playoffs. People may not get that bent out of shape if the Bears are coming off a Super Bowl win.

My biggest issue with the Bears won't be the draft most likely, as much as it is with FA once they get the CBA hammered out. It seems like everytime the Bears get close, they aren't agressive at all and rest on their previous season's success. I'm saying this without looking anything up, but I remember being pissed off most every FA time after the Bears were a playoff team the previous season.

You may have a point there. After the 06 season, the "big" moves were bringing in Anthony Adams to replace Tank, getting rid of Thomas Jones, starting Anderson over Alex Brown, and thinking Adam Archuleta could still play.

Also, was a terrible draft as they should have been trying to replace Ruben Brown, Fred Miller, and Muhsin Muhammad instead they drafted Bazuin, Wolfe, and Okwo in the top 3 rounds along with Olsen.
