Other than thinking Koyie Hill is a "must start" during games against teams still in it, I think Quade has done just fine. I'd rather have him than anyone else next year at this point., since Gonzalez isn't an option for us.

They can both be manager!

Oh my God !! I'm having flash backs to 1960 !! Ugh

We remember the sixties, but it is a bit different these guys go to seminars on team work and they have this cyberspace thingy and pitch counts. It could work, football does it.

Ok, I'll admit it, I am just throwing crap out there.

Based on the last month and a half it is Quade's job to lose

no love for the "relief" managers?

In fact, 2010 has been a "relief" Cubs year for me. As much as I hate to say it, I've had so much going on, that I'm not sure if I would've been able to pay enough attention even if they were relevant. Between the new house, new job, etc. it was a good transition year for me, personally. Doesn't really make it any less painful, per se, but it was a good year for a forgettable year.

I'm still going to be dying for baseball come March.

So just non-tender Hill and hire Quade as manager.

Sounds fine to me.

Wait, so people really want Mike Quade to manage the team next year?

Don't fall for the "play well after a mid-season managerial change" hype.

Aside from consistently starting Hill over Castillo, what has Quade done to make you think he isn't a good manager?

i didn't care for the "castro is being dumb so we're going to pull him out of the lineup and make him watch games" bit.

I'm for hiring Quade because I don't believe in spending big money on a manager. I'd rather have that money for other things in the budget.

He was also injured at the time.

What was he hurt with? I don't remember him being hurt at that point. He got hurt a few days after that with the collision with Wallace and missed a few more games.
