Starlin Castro continuing to look like a future all star. Some good pitching performances from Cashner, Diamond, and Coleman. Colvin taking walks and hitting for power.

That's all I care about at this point. Maybe Gorz and/or Wells pitching well enough to make them a solid trade piece over the offseason. And Geo continuing to hit.

If that can be accomplished with an 0-55 record for the rest of the season, I really don't care.

Totally given up on cringing.

This has probably been addressed in another thread, but I wonder how much Piniella's departure played a role in this debacle. Not the actual announcement a couple weeks ago, but whether the players picked up on anything earlier this seaons. I'd like to give them credit for playing hard regardless of circumstances surrounding their manager. But the way they've played like crap--not just this current losing streak but all season--makes one wonder. The way the roster was built, it wasn't like they were going to make a strong run at the division title. But the way they've crapped their pants since April 5th has been tough to watch.

This sucks.

With everyone knowing Lou is leaving, the youngsters are the only ones that will be out there fighting.(and Marlon Byrd)

He should have waited to announce until after the season or we should be holding interviews and announcing the successor ASAP.(Which won't happen, since Hendry is going to want to interview Girardi and Torre)

Beat the [expletive] out of Cincinnati, that's all I ask.

=D> :good:

my hate of saint louis is rivaled by my hate of cincinnati.

barely.

Full agreement on this matter, I do not want to see anything to do with Dusty Baker win anything.

It is easy, we sweep the Cinci. to move three games up and puts St. Louis in the lead after a series win against SF we sweep the first place St. Louis to move another three games up, by then we are only 7 games back and that is before we play Cinci again. No problem here, we should be thinking about World Series tickets.
