I could understand people voting LeBron second if they put Kevin Durant first. I don't agree with it, but it's not crazy either. But Durant is probably the only guy I could see putting ahead of LeBron. The third-place votes for LeBron are inexcusable, although I'm sure a couple dopes put Kobe as their MVP.

Dwight Howard got 3 first place votes, actually. Kobe got zero.

do you guys think deron is better than chris paul?

Yes, but I am a huge homer. That said from what I've read Paul doesn't have a ligament in his knee anymore. He has bone grinding on bone. That's a pretty big deal for someone who relies on quickness as a major part of his game.

You've said this a couple of times - do you mean cartilage? Ligaments provide structure and hold things together. Cartilage is the stuff that provides cushion between your bones.

Might have been. I read it from a Simmons column. I'll see if I can find it again.

Just read the NBA's release and realized that and that Durant got the other four.

Apparently it takes three days to get from LA to Utah because the Lakers and Jazz play Game 2 on Tuesday and Game 3 on Saturday. Ditto for Boston-Cleveland going today and Friday for Games 2 and 3.

I get the first round and Stern wanting to have all the games televised, though I don't agree with it, but there's no reason for it with only four series going on.

Los Angeles handed out thousands of white shirts in an apparent attempt at a whiteout crowd to go with the Lakers’ Sunday white uniforms, but the majority of fans didn’t bother to actually wear them.

Not surprising in the least.

17-6 foul disparity

Hopefully the 6 were better calls than that one.

Who replaced Ray Allen with a paper doll this quarter?

I'm going ahead and adding "milking a relatively minor injury at the end of an early series to have a built-in excuse for no-showing for a game in the next round" to the list of things that Michael Jordan would never, ever, in a million years, have done.

This isn't on LeBron.

If Boston's big three played like they had fresh legs, this series wouldn't really be close. If all of those guys are somehow healthy, I honestly think the Celtics are the best team in the league. Besides LBJ, there's not another position on the court where the Cavs are better than Boston.

How is he milking an injury?

Did you see the last minute or so of Game 5 of the Bulls series?

I don't hate LeBron or even dislike him. Just pointing out that MJ would never have done that. This is a bad loss for Cleveland, one I didn't expect.

LeBron shooting a FT left handed two games ago --> ??? ---> Milking an injury as an excuse for tonight's game

And this is why nobody watches the NBA...

Lebron runs into Pierce on the last play which is a definite foul and then Rondo touches West and they call a foul. And now, they call a ball that Hickson hits out to the Cavaliers.
