caught the last two minutes last night of the Lakers-OKC game and it renewed one of the reasons for why I hate that the NBA playoffs last two months; I have no interest in watching a team like the Lakers spend two months breaking the dreams of teams like the Thunder.

Roy and Durant on the same team? Yikes.

I don't think that would be a good situation for Durant. He'd be the second best player on his team.

I legitimately lol'd writing that.

do you guys think deron is better than chris paul?

i didnt until this year. maybe it's an effect of paul being injured and kind of out of sight out of mind, but i think deron might be top 5 in the nba.

i'd like to take this opportunity to formally apologize to illiniguy for all my chris paul arguments in the past. you win.

i tried to start a "prett-ty good, prett-ty good" chant when russell westbrook was on the line once but it didn't take

Paul's been better. He's in a crappy situation and coming off a pretty serious injury though so we'll see moving forward.

they're hard to compare because they're so different. i wouldn't put either that much farther ahead of the other one at any point in their careers. they've gone back and forth and hopefully will continue to do so.

deron's the king right now, though.

Deron Williams was never considered better at any point between the 2005 NBA draft and up to a few months ago.

Deron got crazy love the year he took the Jazz to the conference finals as well. Chris Paul is a great player, but he can't stay healthy and he doesn't win.

Yes, but I am a huge homer. That said from what I've read Paul doesn't have a ligament in his knee anymore. He has bone grinding on bone. That's a pretty big deal for someone who relies on quickness as a major part of his game.

Ugh, the Lakers are a terrible matchup for the Jazz. Maybe if Okur was healthy they could put up a fight, but Gasol and Bynum are going to poo all over Milsap and whatever generic white guy gets cycled out there.

GREG OSTERTAG WHERE ARE YOU?

Yeah I'd like to see the Jazz make a deep run in the playoffs but I agree, the Lakers are bad news for them.

I could understand people voting LeBron second if they put Kevin Durant first. I don't agree with it, but it's not crazy either. But Durant is probably the only guy I could see putting ahead of LeBron. The third-place votes for LeBron are inexcusable, although I'm sure a couple dopes put Kobe as their MVP.

You've said this a couple of times - do you mean cartilage? Ligaments provide structure and hold things together. Cartilage is the stuff that provides cushion between your bones.

Putting LeBron 2nd is no better than putting him 3rd.
