Silva needs to pitch like this is T-Ball and anything that gets to the outfield is pretty much a HR.

i was gonna complain about colvin batting second until i realized that our lineup is freaking terrible. Why does fontenot get at bats at all over baker? am i crazy?

Silva 3-year 33 HR allowed in LHB in 813 at bats (.892 OPS.) Votto or Bruce going deep is about a certainty

Media needs to get on Lou to have some of this stuff explained.

Why is Soto sitting two games in a row? Why are we starting Nady and Colvin at the same time?

There are some other questions but those are two I really want answered. The second one I am hoping is Lou is going ot give all 5 guys a lot of playing time to start and will see who able to actually perform. Then in a month or so he starts settling in to a more 3 man OF.

With the .176 team BA to start the season, I think Lou is going to give everybody a chance to start producing. I just hope that if Colvin or Nady get hot that Lou sticks with them.

In regard to Fontenot, it is pretty much pick your poison. Neither Baker or Fontenot give me much hope for decent production at 2B this year. I'm fine with rotating them until one starts to outplay the other.

I think I'm really going to regret drafting Soto for my fantasy team. Since when does losing weight make one a better hitter anyway?

when he's overweight.

Just heard Ron talking with Piniella about the lineup. He mentioned Fukudome and Byrd getting days off, but made no comment regarding Soto/Hill. He did, however, mention something to the effect of "we're gonna play the guys who get results".

I wonder if that'll hold if Soriano is hitting .200 in June

Bruce did say in his blog that Soto would get the start catching Z in the day game tomorrow.

What the Hellllll is up with that lineup? Byrd and Fukudome getting days off is fine. But at the same time? And Lou's comment makes no [expletive] sense in relation to this lineup because Fukudome is batitng like .400 right now and Byrd has obviously been solid.

Also, I hope soto is just out because of the day game/night game thing.

nice to see Soto spoken of as if he is a personal catcher.

Fox Sports Cincinnati and their non-HD feed can eat a dick

EDIT: Oh, it's on WGN, which is ALSO non-HD, but at least it's not Brenneman and Brantley

baker is a career .260/.314/.409/.723 hitter against rhp and that definitely has some coors field help. the problem is that fontenot seems to suck against everyone... bottom line, the cubs don't have an adequate 2b against rhp unless fontenot decides to not be bad.

i have no idea why colvin is hitting in the 2-hole; i think it was just yesterday that we were talking about jason heyward and how cox was batting him low in the order to keep the pressure off him. lou doesn't seem to understand this concept.

Ah damn We have CB Bucknor. Luckily he's stashed at 3rd tonight

Doug Eddings is just as crappy, and he's not stashed at 3rd.
