It would be nice to score a run on something other than a sac fly, error, FC, or home run. How about a good, solid single with a RISP to bring the run home?

Score lots of runs, I don't care how.

Good start Silva.

i like how the basic scouting report on silva says something about "requires a good defense" and we put one-armed nady out in right field for him with fukudome on the bench. smart.

Managing baseball is hard when you're drunk.

For the record. Kosuke probably catches that triple for an out.

Probably would have been a closer play, but considering how hard that ball was hit, I wouldn't bet on it.

I don't know about that. Even with all the twisting and turning Nady got back there in plenty of time to catch it, he was just all turned the hell around by the time he got there. It wouldn't have been the easiest play, but I'd put my money on Kosuke making it.

You know, I really can't wait until the "Good Old Boys", the old-time philosophy guys who refuse to acknowledge any stat more sophisticated than batting average or errors.

Defense is important. I didn't used to think so, but I've been converted.
