defense is important but it's especially important when you have a pitcher who doesn't strike anyone out on the mound. if you're going to put colvin in cf and nady in right, tonight is pretty much the worst possible time to do it. i guess gabp is a bandbox, but that still doesn't mean you want lousy fielders out there behind a batting practice pitcher.
