Well I am done with this tournament. Apparently they blackout anyone close to Augusta and don't offer a local channel to see it on. If you live somewhat close to Augusta you get black outed because they expect you go pay the 400-500 bucks to be able to see it. This is absolutely ridiculous. You are not baseball, football or basketball where there are lots of games and the tickets are relatively cheap. You are a unique tournament that only the wealthy are able to see.

 

Does the Kentucky Derby black out people in around the track? I am so sick of asinine black out rules in sports and I really, really, really wish this would be one of the things Congress decides to step in and fix even though there is no chance they will.

Freddy was dialed in today, I hope he sticks. Tiger was Tiger. Missed some fairways though his driver wasn't bad, great irons, good putting with a few lip-outs. That miss on 18 surprised me. Still when he shoots 68 on Thursday, look out.

The free masters golf app on Iphone is simply amazing quality. I've been watching Amen corner for a few hours now, and a featured group app should be starting up soon. Yesterday, the featured groups were Mike Wier's group earlier in the day and Villegas later in the day.

i could make any number of boycott/mcdonalds/apartment complex grocery bills/nacho cheese jokes here, but instead i'm just going to wonder how it is that someone who expects to actually earn a living as a writer, thinks "black outed" is proper english. i mean, that is just staggering.

haha, ernie els was behind the green on 15 after already hitting in the water once, and he chipped over the green and it rolled down the hill but stopped in some thicker grass just before going in the water. his caddy gave him a ball and he went to drop it and the gallery all started yelling at him not to. it was pretty funny.

How far out does the blackout go? That is unbelievable. But hey, they got to be able to raise money to run the course because the billionaires who belong to the club pay a measly $10,000 a year in dues.

 

A couple of my thoughts.

1. What are those lines in the green in some of them as if someone took a large rake and raked it?

2. I was pretty ticked off at Billy Payne for saying that Tiger letting down those who thought he was their role model was worse than what he did to his family. First of all I would only want to my kids to imitate Tiger on the golf course. There are very few athletes that people want their kids to imitate for what they do away from sports. Secondly, the heartbreak he put his family through is far far worse than anything else. Payne put Woods on a pedestal in order to tear him down because few parents, even before the affairs, told their kids to model Woods' private life.

3. The plane that was flying around had a huge letdown in its message today. They could really get nasty with that thing. Today's just had to do with disbelieving Tiger Woods' excuse of being a sex addict. Did he ever say he was? The plane was visited by the FAA yesterday for safety violations and had to fix a few things up.

4. Woods/ 11th mistress, the porn star, had an interview on Atlanta's sports radio station. She said his whole entourage knew what he was doing. She said she stayed with Tiger in his hotel room during tournaments. She knew Tiger was married, but took no responsibility for her actions because Tiger pursued her. She had the gall to say that Tiger should apologize to her because she was in love with him and he just cut off the relationship once he got found out. She said that it has been very tough being dumped like that and she is going through emotional struggles and might not ever be able to marry because she has trust issues with men now. She wants to sit down with Elin and tell her how pathetic Tiger is. Unbelievable.
