That's just stupid. There are myriad of reasons for anyone to hate Duke (and the Yankees for that matter). Not the least of which is the fact that the national media shoves them down our collective throats. It's overexposure.

 

It would be freakish to hate some obscure team for no reason, but people hating teams that are virtually omnipresent shouldn't surprise anyone. Especially when that omnipresence encourages bandwagoning from people who have no connection to the team/school.

 

The downside to being a true fan of a team that is the recipient of a disproportionate amount of media attention, bias and virtual fellatio is that a lot of people are going to get sick of it and hate your team because of it. Deal with it.

Wow, what a game. Our tickets were not as bad as I anticipated. The view was pretty decent for being in one of the very top sections. While the crowd was obviously pro-Butler for the most part Duke did have a fairly good number of fans there.

 

Definitely worth the price of the tickets. Man I still can't get over Hayward's last heave........ugh. What could have been.

Ugh. No Kramer lay-up and the only time anything Purdue was shown was Grant and Singler being face to face. For a Sweet Sixteen team that almost no one picked I'm a bit disappointed.

Jordan Crawford and Jimmer Fredette were bigger snubs IMO. How Crawford's 40-footer isn't in there is a little confusing.

 

That was a pretty horrible highlight reel with way too much Jennifer Hudson and not nearly enough highlights.

 

They also didn't show either the Washington or Wake Forest first-round game winners. And they didn't show anything from the Xavier-K St game - not just Crawford but Holloway's shots also.

I hate Duke as much as anyone but I didn't see the blatant pro-Duke officiating that some of you are talking about. They blew a lot of calls but I never felt like it was one-sided.

When he "takes" a charge he sticks his knee out to the side as well. It's why Butler broke his everything.
