They have to hope Wisconsin gets upset

...by the bye?

ha, whoops. Was thinking of Purdue

Purdue is likely going to have to beat MSU for the third time this year. I wouldn't be surprised if Purdue got upset. If you want to call it an upset.

Not shocking at all, but Pat Knight has been told that after the B12 tournament he no longer has a job at Texas Tech. Billy Gillispie, come on down!

Anybody know why the MVC tournament is played so early?

So they can get a mid afternoon CBS time slot and not compete with the Big 12 and Big 10 tournaments. Pretty good idea.

Arch Madness is one of the more profitable mid-major tourneys as I remember hearing on one of the selection shows.

I love that you've got those 4 schools and Kansas State is the one waiting on transcripts before offering

"Waiting on transcripts" means "holding them hostage" when you're referring to KSU, they're just preparing their retaliation if they don't get the commit.

It's not like you're mediocre 8-8 record would have been any better with him.

Yeah this is probably the dumbest thing you've ever said (which is impressive, considering your resume up til this point)

When you have only won 2 games on the road all year, it's pretty hard to convince me that another player would run that horrid motion offense any better than the guys that you've had running it. I love how high and mighty Mizzou fans are when they finish 6th in the Big 12 and have NEVER been to a final 4. Aren't they the team that has the most NCAA appearances in the country without a final 4 appearance?

Missouri Tigers

Tournament Appearances: 23

Final Fours: 0

Championships: 0

Win-Loss: 22-22

Kansas State Wildcats

Tournament Appearances: 24

Final Fours: 4

Championships: 0

Win-Loss: 31-28

Good grief, this is just embarrassing.

Mizzou lost road conference games by 2(in OT) and 6 points, and in general of course having a 5 star player would have helped them, if for no other reason than they've played this conference season with 4 forwards on their roster.

Mizzou's offense is 3rd in the Big 12 in Points per Possession, behind KU and Texas. Even if you only include KSU's streak of success they still aren't as good offensively.

You need to figure out what high and mighty means. Please don't confuse "you are saying really ridiculous things a lot" and "you're wrong, KSU is the worst and Mizzou is the best!"

No one cares about pre-modern era final 4 appearances. One of the Final 4's you are including for KSU was an 8 team tournament. The other 3 were all 25 or less, and all 4 were at least 45 years ago.

If you can sit here and talk smack, then I can talk it back. You've been reasonable, never taking a personal shot. Butters on the other hand, that's all he and Snayke do.

In my local television station's ACC tournament pick'em contest #1 UNC vs. #16 bye, #2 Duke vs. #15 bye, etc. are actually listed as games to submit picks for.

Just as I hate dumbass trash like you. I've never taken a personal shot at you. Your team is mediocre. You can't understand that. 8-8 is NOT good. Neither is only winning 2 games away from home. Neutral floors do not count.

5 stars are guaranteed to help eh? Why didn't wally judge do anything for KSU? Selby sure as hell didn't help Kansas as much as you'd have thought he would. He was looked at as the 2nd coming of christ before this season, and he sure didn't make a 5* impact.

Maybe it's because when you post people picture Frank Martin and Jacob Pullen?

Could be... Too bad Pullen is 10x the player of any guard on the Mizzouri team. Jealousy perhaps?

It's not an all or nothing proposition. Mitchell didn't need to be Michael Beasley to help, he had to be better than Steve Moore(readers might know him by his film persona, Lennie from Of Mice and Men) or Justin Safford.

I understand what you're getting at, however, it's not 100% that he'd have won you the close games you lost. It's nice to think that way, but Mitchell is an all about me type of individual from what I know about him. That kind of play isn't necessarily something that would have helped in the overall scheme of your offense, let alone you have no idea what you get from those type of players on defense. I guess all I'm saying is having Mitchell doesn't guarantee you more wins.

Whoa, all I did was talk trash about KSU. What's wrong with that?

I did take a shot at you for trying to say that Mike Anderson is as dirty as Bob Huggins. That was pure ignorance.

Your team is mediocre. You can't understand that.

I have no issue admitting that Missouri has problems. I don't think the other three or four Mizzou fans do, either. Although if they truly are mediocre, then KSU losing by 16 should be a blemish on their resume.

Oh yeah, Denmon > Pullen

If stars don't matter, why did you make that post last week demonstrating that KSU would be good based simply on height, weight, hometown and star rating? Especially when they were almost all 3 star guys?

Because once upon a time Jacob Pullen was a 3* player.
