This has to be one of the biggest age differences between two coaches in the title game. It's even bigger than last year since Calhoun is four years older than K.

That is kind of freaky tbh. I thought you were joking until I just looked up the DOB's for both coaches. I would have guessed they were 10-15 years apart in age.

I'm pretty sure that if you cut Coach K, he'd bleed embalming fluid.

What do you do when you miss on a big time coach like Matt Painter? Apparently, you hire Frank Haith. Unbelievable.

From wikipedia:

Frank Haith (born November 3, 1965 in Queens, New York) is the current head men's basketball coach at the University of Missouri, as reported by reputable sources such as Bernie, Twitter, and Tigerboard (1970s college message board, that is continually overloaded). The NIT melts in fear at the name of Haith.

After the blackhawks game a guy told me that missouri hired frank haith. I bet him $25 that he was full of [expletive].

I lose. But Missouri loses more.

Last night in the women's Final Four Notre Dame ended UConn's bid for a third consecutive title. A school from Indiana beating UConn; hopefully that's a preview of what will happen tonight. :D

An attempt to talk myself into the Haith hire:

- Guy can really recruit, and he better get started quick, cause there's 9, maybe 10 scholarships to fill in the next 12 months or so.

- Miami is a college basketball wasteland, no administration support, half empty 7k capacity arena, etc.

- Leonard Hamilton is proof that Miami results aren't exactly a true barometer of coaching success

On the other hand, I can't shake the fact that we just signed up to be Baylor without the shadiness as a best case scenario. Maybe that's not really any different than the alternatives though.

I saw the news this morning and the only reaction I could bring myself to is a big steaming pile of "meh." I'm not sure who else Mizzou was looking at, but this certainly seems underwhelming from the outside looking in.
