You think it was VCU's defense that made KU shoot 2% from 3 pt range and 11% from the FT line?

 

I don't think it's a coincidence that all of USC, Georgetown, Purdue, Florida State, and Kansas had a lot of trouble scoring.

 

KU bricked a ton of open threes. Maybe they were tired because VCU was running, but I think it had more to do with those guys sucking for a day than VCU laying down the clamps. However, VCU did do a nice job of packing the lane once they saw Reed's first five rim-wrecking bricks almost damage the building's infrastructure.

Illinois becomes a high profile job as soon as Stevens steps on campus. Back up the dump truck full of cash and he'll consider it.

 

Wonder why no other AD considered this.

 

How bout we make the bowls the playoff sites!!??

 

Are we not talking about the school that thinks Ron Zook and Bruce Weber are the best available options for its two most important athletic programs?

 

3 years running you refuse to understand how there can be a disconnect between fans and the AD

 

Sounds like the Illini faithful need to fan up.

Larry Drew II enrolled at UCLA for the spring quarter. He'll pay his way next year as he sits out.

Twitter be buzzin' with news that Painter is going to accept at Missouri and Lusk will succeed him.

 

Much like that Lincoln guy who proclaimed to twitter about Anderson going to Arkansas, this guy might end up right, but it won't be because he had any information. Painter is meeting with Mizzou tomorrow.

IU got a visit today from Jamari Traylor., PF originally from Chicago and now at IMG academy. There is a scholarship available for 2011, but after that things get a bit murky.

 

Looks like one transfer this year on the way, but that 2012 class is going to require another transfer or a year of prep for someone (Peter Jurkin, possibly?).

Dear Purdue: please hire weber, i'm sick of clown ball.

 

Not going to happen. If Purdue loses Painter, the basketball program won't exist... because I'm going to blow it up. The whole [expletive] University.

 

So... make sure Weber pays a visit to West Lafayette within 24 hours of any announcement of Painter to Mizzou.

Sar-chasm.

 

He tweeted that Matt Painter was going to Ball St (his alma mater) for 7 years, $70K per with use of a pickup truck. People were too dumb to notice the obvious joke and started asking him if it was true and then asking other reporters if they had heard about Painter going to Ball St. So then he said that Knight was going to Purdue for 3 years/$30M, again making it obvious that he wasn't serious with those details.
