Two stellar Gus freakouts in the last 20 seconds of overtime.

YES YES YES, LOVE GUS

On the last play in the Washington-Arizona game, Isaiah Thomas was dribbling the ball at halfcourt at you can see Gus standing up as he's calling the play and then he gives a huge fist pump as the celebration starts.

That was awesome.

Digger just said Joakim Noah and co. won back to back titles about 10 years ago.

that's a lot more accurate than digger usually is

Earlier today when talking about Izzo's amazing coaching job, said they were beaten by 20 by Iowa 2 weeks ago then he got them to bounce back at the end of the year and beat Iowa big at home.

The game was played on February 2nd.

So how does the committee keep PSU out now? 2 wins vs. WIS, 2 wins vs. MSU. Do they still have to beat OSU tomorrow, or do they just have to keep it respectable?

I think they are in now, but still probably playing in Dayton in a few games.

I'm starting to get worried even though everyone says michigan is in.

Last year the conference tourny didn't mean squat. So of course this year it will and Michigan will get in at our expense.

yeah, i have a feeling we're not getting in. well, maybe they'll feel bad for us for what happened last year.

North Dakota 71, UTPA 70

South Dakota 72, Utah Valley 70

North Dakota 65, Houston Baptist 63

It's too bad there isn't an NCAA tournament berth available for the winner, correct?

According to Lunardi, Illinois is still ahead of the other 3 Big Ten Bubble teams. He has Penn State as the last non-playin at large team, MSU the 3rd to last, and Michigan the 4th to last.

Lunardi's No. 1 seeds are OSU (East), Kansas (Southwest), Notre Dame (Southeast) and Pitt (West), with Duke next in line.

According to Wikipedia they don't have an automatic bid.

It would be hilarious if UConn were upset in the first round of the NCAA tourney now.

It wouldn't shock me. Syracuse won four in four days a few years ago and lost to Vermont in the first round. I had those bastards in the Final Four too.

I believe the tournament winner gets an automatic berth to the CIT.

Correct, only a CIT berth. BTW, North Dakota ended up winning the final in double OT by 1 point, 77-76. So that's 6 games decided by a total of 11 points.

I really want him to be right about ND being ahead of Pitt and they probably deserve to be (even though they finished a game out, their Big East schedule was much more difficult than Pitt's, they beat them, and they had the extra pantsing of Cincy in the BET on the resume), but when it's a relative no-name school against two brand-name schools like Pitt and Duke, the predictable usually happens. I have no right to complain though, because the Irish had their chance to lock up a 1 seed Friday night and gagged it.
