And the Pac-12 decides NOT to expand. One would think this kills the Big 12 migration...for now.

Per David Boren: Awkward...

As for me, well... http://cdn.landthieves.com/board/images/smilies/emot-suicide.gif

Thank you Pac-12 for someone finally coming to their senses. Let's hope this slows down or stops the rest of the migration.

I have literally never heard of New College of Florida. Wikipedia has informed me that they don't give letter grades.

i have a friend who went there. she is kind of weird.

Birmingham News reporting that Mizzou and SEC have "informal agreement" barring unforeseen changes, with Auburn going to SEC East.

Just saw this on the ESPN bottom line. Right after it said that the SEC denies that it extended an offer.

My friend's dad is a board member at UGA. Says that Slive really wants FSU, but isn't sure how it's going to work due to the ACC money issue.

That contradicts reports that say the SEC don't want to "double-dip" in terms of picking up a school from a state where they already have a conference member.

Not doubting you, just mentioning what has been widely reported. And obviously, all reports re: realignment are correct.

Jack Harry in KC reporting the B1G and Mizzou are talking. Usually, you can ignore anything he says. But a fairly well-connected poster at KU's rivals site says it might be true.

Thank you Pac 12 for making a monumentally stupid mistake. Jim Delaney thanks your for allowing ND, Texas, OU and Mizzou to fall into our laps. Money money money money.

Man, Mizzou sticks out like a warm bag of feces in that group.

If it actually happens, we can ditch Leaders and Legends and go East West.

I'll gladly take A&M and Mizzou in my division of the SEC if we can get rid of one of the stud teams, in that case it looks like Auburn due to geography (it's pretty much in Georgia for those that don't know)

Whose laps?

Neifi forgot OU and Mizzou want to join the ACC too so they can have things they can recruit North Carolina.

I like these rumors best so therefore I think they are the most true.

I think he's saying that they're the only one of the four that would actually accept a big 10 offer.

There was a quote from Slive directly debunking that theory. And, interestingly, most FSU fans that I know don't want to go to the SEC and would prefer the ACC for a variety of reasons, the best of which being that it's an easier path to the BCS championship in the ACC (even though we've failed recently) and that the ACC makes more money in the end due to its better basketball production.

I'm shocked you didn't know that all reports are fact. Psssssh!

I guess I usually see Top 25 PUBLIC schools lists. Missouri barely cracks the Top 100 public schools list from what I found, well below Texas Tech and they are a Tier 3 school.

That list is absurd. Missouri blows Texas Tech out of the water, academically. As does KU.

Okay, look. I know you got a crocodile in spelling, but this has gone too far.

I'm also puzzled by that forbes list...don't have time to determine how it was compiled, but the usnews list appears more accurate just by quick, anecdotal evaluation.

Their graduation rates are WAYYYY too high for the Big Ten.

Paige Laurie got a diploma and never even entered the state!

Early indication is that if the Big 12 lives, BYU is open to joining to bring them back to 10. That would bring the conference to the same caliber it was before aTm's tantrum, so that's fine with me. I've heard other schools floated too to bring them to 12, like TCU, Louisville, Air Force, WVU, etc, but I'm dubious that a championship game is worth it to add two from that group.
