So what are we calling the Big 12/Big East merger conference?

Who would it be?

Kansas

Kansas St

Iowa St

Baylor

Louisville

Cincinatti

UConn

USF

Rutgers

TCU

WVU

I'd call it a slightly better Conference-USA.

That conference isn't any worse than the Big East as it stands now - it's probably better, actually.

In what world is that better than Pitt, Cuse, and TCU (assuming they still join)?

no kidding. Butter's team has one good year and suddenly he's on par with Texas.

and when Minnesota wins the Rose Bowl you can all bow to my greatness

look out soon for Mizzou and ESPN's agreement to launch the Mizzou Television Network. come soon to three households in Sedalia.

Birmingham News reporting that Mizzou and SEC have "informal agreement" barring unforeseen changes, with Auburn going to SEC East.

So they are spliting Auburn and Bama and then giving them an annual matchup too?

What's the best that Missouri can reasonably hope for in the sec? Finish ahead of vandy and Kentucky?

Essentially, be Arkansas part deux.

Just saw this on the ESPN bottom line. Right after it said that the SEC denies that it extended an offer.

win every conference title in every sport every year

Like they did in the Big 12. Seriously though, for all the crap KU fans give Mizzou fans around here, this makes me smile. Who got invited to the big boy conference?

I guess I usually see Top 25 PUBLIC schools lists. Missouri barely cracks the Top 100 public schools list from what I found, well below Texas Tech and they are a Tier 3 school.

That list is absurd. Missouri blows Texas Tech out of the water, academically. As does KU.

Quite honestly I was surprised to see any school listed lower than Texas Tech, so I'm cool with Mizzou being higher than them.

I have literally never heard of New College of Florida. Wikipedia has informed me that they don't give letter grades.

Okay, look. I know you got a crocodile in spelling, but this has gone too far.

Big East's 7 remaining football members have apparently pledged to stick together (not that most of them have a choice) and be aggressive in courting new members. Just go get Temple and UCF and accept being a further weakened football league (the basketball effect would actually be worse if that happened, obviously).
