I've seen like 5 times in the last 10 minutes where the bulls have numbers or they catch the lakers in an offensive set but they end up with a contested shot anyway. I can't figure if it's poor positioning from the Bulls(since they're moving the ball pretty quickly) or good defense by the Lakers.

Mostly salary cap relief (headlined by Kwame Brown). I think the Memphis GM even admitted there were much better offers out there in terms of talent coming back to Memphis, but all he wanted was cap relief, and the Lakers were the best match for them.

 

They also got Pau's brother Marc Gasol, who has turned out to be a decent piece, although clearly not the talent of Pau

I don't know if it was ever discussed here, but how do bulls fan feel about the whole rose cheating on tests thing? Do you guys just say, "whatever, that happened in high school. So what if he cheated into college it's the past now" or do you think that it is affecting his down year this year?

I love it when big time college coaches are said to be role models for young men and build their character. No, big time college coaches are there to get famous, bring in money for the school, win championships, and help people like Rose improve so they can make millions in the NBA.

Well at least Rose showed some things in the 2nd half. The Lakers just seem unbeatable with Gasol back...too much size and lineup flexibility.

 

First time I can really remember him being in attack-mode was yesterday in the second half. He missed a few point blank shots but as long as he continues to drive to the rim, those points will come to him more often than not.

So much for a surprising team this season. They'll play better once they get back to the central time zone, but this is a .500/7th seed of the playoffs type of team.

 

Guess we just gotta keep the focus on the FA market this offseason and realize we're basically punting this season anyways.

It sucks when Deng is playing so well and the team can't build on that

The bigger front lines are just gonna murder us. Miller can't hold the paint any more and Gibson is a 15 minute energy guy at best (who needs a better jumper if he's gonna stick in this league). Thomas is actually missed a lot and that might be a big concern in and of itself.

 

And Rose, guh. I don't know what's going on. He doesn't know how to attack different looks or something.
