It's kind of disturbing that we can't beat the Bucks when our 4 best players all have good games. I know the Bucks are decent and we're missing Thomas and Hinrich but still.

Ha, I love reading that part. Its nice.

I don't know why everyone was so down on Milwaukee this year. Possibly because it's a very small market, and the Bucks have been in NBA irrelevance for a number of years (since the ECF year). They were playing very well last year before injuries really tore them apart. They have a lot of young players and no me first superstars, a perfect roster for Skiles to coach to play hard and play defense. And they are playing well without Redd for most of the year.

I don't mind the Bucks, except when the Bulls are playing them. They have an interesting team and I hope they can make some noise in the NBA this year.

Yeah injuries killed them last year pretty bad.

I actually thought they would be "decent". But no one could of predicted how good Jennings was going to be. Bogut got hurt but he came back tonight if you take out his first 2 games this year (which you can't) he is around 22.2 ppg with 10.5 rpg. Which is the player Milwaukee wanted when they drafted him.

Our pick from 2005, Ersan Ilyasova, a guy not that many people know about is been a really nice suprise he is avg right now is around 14 and 7. He also had a 20-16 game against New Orleans earlier, Ridnour is at 11.5 and 5 off the bench. And Hakim Warrick is a good hustle guy. I do like the youth on the team and like you said Skiles is getting them to play good defense.

I really think we are better without Redd. Between Jennings/Bogut/Ilyasova he is probably the 4th person I want shooting and he plays terrible defense. If Meeks can develope some more I don't see a need for Redd on this team.

And I just wrote a book. Oops. Anyways, the Bucks are like the Royals of the NBA. Hard to hate a team that as been so crappy for so long.

No real intention for a personal jab at the guy, and maybe it's just a bad picture, but does Bogut know what the inside of a weight room looks like? Great player, but holy hell. He looks like me. Just, you know, a foot taller. And better at basketball.

Well he's gained around 20 LB's since coming to the NBA from his rookie year. I guess when he was in college whenever he gained to much weight it would really slow him down. He is playing his best defense since coming into the league, so I would like him to stay where he is at.

Here's a question: Is Joakim Noah the most popular athlete in Chicago?

With the Bears a huge disappointment, the Cubs/Sox split (and no huge stars on either team), and Rose not exactly being the most charismatic guy I think he might be. I know the Blackhawks are very good but it's hockey.

I think the tandem of Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews are probably the most popular athletes in Chicago.

i couldn't pick either out of a lineup.

What kinda reception did BG get?

I heard he got booed.

He got booed but it was rather light. I think it's idiotic to boo him. What did he do to diss the Bulls? The only thing you can say is that he didn't accept that offer 2 years ago, but that was 2 years ago and he never expressed a desire to leave Chicago. The Bulls didnt offer Gordon a contract this offseason, the Pistons did. You can't hate on him for that.

Haha wtf?

In a lengthy interview for the December 7 issue of Sporting News magazine, Artest—best known as the central figure in the infamous Malice at the Palace in 2004—bared all, including a startling admission that he drank alcohol during games as a member of the Chicago Bulls, for whom he played from 1999-2002.

"I used to drink Hennessy … at halftime," Artest says in the interview, which hits newsstands this week. "I (kept it) in my locker. I'd just walk to the liquor store (near the stadium) and get it."

Edit: Whoops, I didn't see that posted above.

I couldn't have said it any better.

Me neither. And a hockey player will never be the most popular athlete in Chicago unless they're Gretzky-good.

Even with the badness and injury, Cutler and Urlacher are both probably head and shoulders over anyone right now.

So what is everyone's opinion on the Tyrus to the Knicks rumors? Im not sure how I feel about it, but looks like if its done, its another move to help us have salary cap room for the Free Agent class...

Well Tyrus isn't going to be re-signed after this year anyway, so I don't think it makes a difference whether or not we trade him in terms of cap purposes for next season.

I'm not a big Tyrus fan, but I'd keep him for the rest of this year unless it was a deal that brought an impact player here. Al Harrington definitely doesn't fit that definition. Last year, I remember the Bulls were talking to the Warriors about a Hinrich for Harrington swap before Hinrich was injured. I'd definitely do a Hinrich for Harrington swap, but that would more than likely go against what the Knicks want out of the deal - cap space.

I like the fact that Al would give Rose another solid scorer, and he is an expiring contract. Not to mention he would get Taj Gibson out of the lineup. I kinda like the move, since the Bulls are not playing Thomas nor do they have any intentions of re-signing him. It improves the team this year, and it also improves the team chances at being a free agent winner 2010.

Besides wouldn't it be funny if the Bulls landed a guy like James or Bosh, and the Knicks ends up with both Curry and Thomas? Now that would be hilarious.

No thank you on any Hinrich for Harrington trade, because that would mean the Bulls would to rely on an aging Lindsay Hunter or a crappy Jannero Pargo as the backup PG.

Get rid of that $9.5 million salary a year for the next couple of seasons.

Get a solid backup PG then it would be a solid trade, if not, it's not worth giving up Hinrich.

I agree, but Hinrich's contract desperately needs to be moved before next offseason. It's one of the worst non-Knick contracts in the league.

Al Harrington is in the Zach Randolph category for me. He's a chucker, an abortion on defense, a poor rebounder, and he's always on bad teams. Now Tyrus hasn't shown much but I'd rather just see how he plays when he gets back from injury. We do need scoring, and maybe a guy who's willing to do it selfishly, but I'd rather just hold on to Thomas and see if he shows anything. Thomas would provide a lot more help up front with Noah--and Noah can't do it alone against bigger front lines.
