As expected the NBA is backing the refs. Apparently the NBA would rather the fans to continue to have suspicions about refs, instead of admitting a mistake and overturn the call. At least the Bulls won't have to wait long to get back on those bums from Denver. (November 21).

IMO, the Bulls won that game and was literally stolen from them.

I still don't see what's conclusive about any of the photos. Sure the photos look like he's touching the ball, but I don't see where the evidence is overwhelming. Are you suggesting that the referees went to sleep last night 100% sure that Miller's hand was on the ball when the light went off? That's the type of proof needed to overturn a call as the rule was intended. However, the ref's statements suggest that they ignored the call on the court, and used the replays to make a judgment on what happened, which isn't how the replay rule is supposed to be used.

I'm over the call, but I feel the need to argue those that say it was clearly the correct call. I haven't see a replay that tells me beyond a reasonable doubt that his hand was on the ball. That's just my opinion.

Off to what has been a house of horrors for us recently. I don't like our odds tonight in Toronto. The second of a back to back is gonna be where Vinny's 7 man rotation is really gonna kill us throughout the year.

I don't know what your getting at here. If the Yankees lose a game on a fluke disputed HR call against the Royals, should they not complain about it because good teams shouldn't let it come down to that? It's a long season, teams energy and effort levels fluctuate throughout the season. Plus I don't think anyone is suggesting that the Bulls are on the talent level of the Nuggets. We aren't the "good team" you are suggesting that's why a lot of Bulls fans are having trouble getting over that loss.

The Bulls aren't a good team, yet. Good teams are consistant, the Bulls are more of a solid team that needs all the wins it can get. The Bulls were awarded the game then taken away because of BS call. If the call happen at another point of the game, I would be less angry, but it happen at the end of the game and the REFS AWARD THE SHOT TO MILLER then took it away as if they were playing god.

For what it's worth (and considering the source, not much), 2 of the 4 panelists on Around the Horn thought the Bulls should have won, including the Denver columnist (Woody Paige) and Tim Cowlishaw. Jay Mariotti and Kevin Blackisaw (sp?) said the right call was made.

I don't know about the other photos, but the ones shown in this thread are completely useless as evidence since they don't show both the status of ball touching hand and the status of the clock/light.

I think it was the right call...

You see that's the problem in a nutshell, you 'think' it's the right call, which says to me that you are not 100% about the call. To overturn the call you have to b 100%, and if you can tell with 100% certainty then the refs definately couldn't. Which means they overturn the call on a whim.

"[Wunderlich] finished looking at various views, then he asked if there were any other views available," Johnson said on "The Waddle & Silvy Show" on ESPN 1000. "He was given a view that showed clearly that Miller's fingers were still in contact with the ball and there were 0 seconds left on the game clock. Therefore the ball had not left his hand, therefore the basket was nullified."

NBA spokesman Tim Frank also said Wunderlich got the call right.

"Everything was done by the book, and they made the correct decision," Frank said. "The truck informed [Wunderlich] they had one additional angle, and so he asked to review that, and it ended up being the overhead shot, which ended up being the conclusive angle.

The Bulls employee who voluntarily gave Wunderlich the last camera angle should be taken out back and shot.

And by threatening on not putting up 100 I meant 90.

29 points in the second half. 11 in the 4th quarter. They scored ONE POINT in the last 6:24 of the game. Salmons and Hinrich were a combined 4/21 from the floor.

How the [expletive] do you score 60 points in the first half and not even hit 90 for the game?!?! Brutal.

Kirk Hinrich absolutely sucks. I'm not overreacting over one game either, this guy does nothing useful on the offensive side of the floor.

I thought we'd actually score 100 tonight. Whoops.

I don't see any offensive solutions for this team. The lack of three point shooting is glaring. There aren't any lanes for Rose to drive through with the defense sagging in. There's way too much pick and roll and not enough Rose in isolation (which admittedly would be hard to run when you have NO floor spacers that can shoot). Hinrich and Salmons can't bury a decent look if their lives depended on it.

Stat of the night:

The Bulls season high in points this season is 93 through 8 games. There are 25 teams averaging more than 93 points per game. Horrible

We really could have used that win last night. I have a feeling we're gonna be several games under .500 after the WC trip.

Bulls scored 89 points tonight. So you're saying their PPG went up after today? Awesome!
