The Bears are 13.5 point favorites right now and that's ridiculous. I would not trust this team to cover a 5 point spread, let alone a two touchdown line. I don't care that Cleveland is a joke and might be the only team in the league that can't pass on the Bears at will. Chicago will find a way to keep the opponent in the game, that is what they do.

I hate this team. I hate Lovie, I hate Turner, I hate Kreutz and the rest of the offensive line, I hate Ogunleye, Tommie Harris and everything else on that side of the ball.

This is going to be a crappy way to work off a Halloween party hangover.

Who are the untouchables on this team? Cutler for sure. Briggs. Knox maybe? Um...Forte? Although I don't know what to think about him right now...

Tillman maybe...Olsen maybe (if you think he can still meet his potential)...

Gould and Maynard.

Hester?

My opinion on the talent on this team has drastically changed in two weeks. Hard to tell if I'm being objective here...probably not.

Since this isn't baseball and there are so few trades, it doesn't really matter who the untouchables are. If you can find a better player, you cut the guy you have. That being said, I think the core is obviously Cutler, some combination of Hester/ Bennett/Knox, Briggs, Tillman, Brown and maybe Afalava. The new d-lineman might fit in there, but I don't think any offensive lineman has shown to be anything close to a core player for the long haul. Forte was overused in college and his rookie year and probably does not have a long shelf life, plus, RBs are too unreliable, unless you have a true elite threat.

Yeah, in saying untouchables I really just meant a core to build around.

I'd like to try to stick with Forte because I don't trust this team to develop a RB...not that I wouldn't like to see someone behind Forte.

Tillman sucks people, no way in hell is he an untouchable. He may be the most overrated "#1 CB" in football. He'd be "ok" as a #2 CB, but having him as your #1 CB says plenty about your teams secondary.

He had a terrible game, but he's shut down just about every other #1 receiver this season. They've been burning us on Bowman's side all season.

Tillman isn't an all pro, but he's perfectly fine. The problem with the Bears secondary is that the defensive line gets no rush and the constant barrage of ineffective blitzing linebackers leave guys on an island for far too long. He's the best they got and they will have him for the long haul.

Yes. He is not a number 1 CB in this league.

They could lose this game. I'd take the Browns and the points. Usually I don't gamble, but that seems like easy money to me.

The Tampa-2 scheme is built on the belief that the pass rush must be created by the four defensive linemen. The Bears' linemen clearly cannot generate enough pressure to run the scheme effectively. The linebacker blitzes are used to make-up for the lack of pressure, which in turn, puts pressure on the defensive backs to make plays which they normally would have additional defenders (LBs) to help them make. The defensive line is a weakness on this team and its poor performance makes it difficult for everyone else to do their jobs effectively.

I still cant believe how bad Ohchocinco made Tillman look on the 2nd TD of the game. That was some of the worst pass defense Ive ever seen from a CB.

It wasn't even the worst pass defense in that game. Bowman on the first TD was worse.

They were both pretty bad, but man that 2nd TD was horrible.

No, they can't lose this game. There's absolutely no way the Bears lose to the Clowns.

I know the game yesterday was horrid for you guys, but Cleveland is a real bad football team. I think that's a pretty generous statement too.

Bowman blew his coverage far worse.

Tillman made a really bad play there, but has been very solid overall this season.

If we do lose to these bozos, then it's going to be a very expensive Sunday for me, because things will be thrown. And things will be broken.

Wow, this is a fun thread. I'm not completely down on this team, but you can't make the playoffs without being able to beat a decent team away from Chicago. Even if they do get into the playoffs, it's all but a given they will need to win a playoff game on the road to even get to the NFC championship. The next 3 on the road are SF (short week), Baltimore, and Minnesota. Gotta sweep at home and win @ Detroit to have a shot at the playoffs.

Bears will win this easy. The Browns wouldn't be able to score points against Michigan's defense, so they should only be able to get like 10-13 against us.

I thought when we beat Seattle that was supposed to be our big road win because it's impossible to win in Seattle even though 60% of their team was hurt and we barely beat them.

At least you wouldn't have driven 5 hours and paid $150 bucks to go to the game with an entire family of Bengals fans who think it's fun to scream "WHO DEY" in the Bears fan's ear every 6 seconds while their team is beating mine by 35 points like I did last week.
