Part of me hopes they call it incomplete because I really want to see a tie.

Please end in a tie.

I used to always root for ties, but after last year's tie, the standings looked so dumb like the Eagles went 9-6-1. How do you even feel after a tie? I think it feels more like a loss than a win. I think if the Eagles had lost that game instead of tying it, either the Bucs, Cowboys or Bears (can't remember which) would have made the playoffs instead of them, so I guess a tie has some merit.

This from Voice of Reason this morning about Sanchez.....

Sam Bradford should have followed the lead of the best QB in football last year, Mark Sanchez, and gone pro. He wouldn't be a NFL star like Sanchez is but maybe the little guy could have found work as a backup QB somewhere

Hahaha

Sanchez is no Juice Williams, that's for sure.

Dumb comment but it doesn't mean he's never going to be a star. He held his own the first few games so the Jets let him open it up a little and it failed miserably. Rein him in and see if a more conservative gameplan will lead to more victories. Just because Matt Ryan did it last year doesn't mean that rookie QBs should be expected to be polished right off the bat. In fact its unbelievably rare that this occurs.

Well, so much for that, at least for now.

There's Sanchez only starting 16 games in college showing up. He was a disaster today.

And the Jets receivers are just really bad as a group without Cotchery and Smith. Edwards was blanketed all day and he forced way too many balls. That game was high comedy overall though.

He sure played like Juice today. Naming Sanchez a star already is a bit pre mature.

I feel comfortable declaring the Saints as the team to beat right now, over the Vikes.

Lots of football to be played though.

Never said he wont ever be a star, but its a little early to be doing it already. Remember people naming Grossman the MVP of the NFL after 6 games a few years ago?

There are people who still insist that Grossman isn't really that bad and just needs another chance to prove himself.

What I'm getting at is that people are stupid.

Just got back from that beatdown in New Orleans. It's easy to get spoiled by skybox seats with the unlimited beer and hard liquor. I was quite drunk by halftime.

So, what's this we have?

* good teams losing to terrible teams

* excellent teams from last year getting curbstomped (my condolences, dew)

* 10 different quarterbacks threw 10 or more passes and completed less than half of them...and none of those was Jamarcus Russell

I'm kind of glad I slept through most of the games today.
