Ah yes, the 76 Bucs. Ok, Bud should have said nearly unheard of. Would that make you nitpickers feel better?

Psh, but how does that make the 1982 Colts, the 1960 Cowboys, the 1942 Lions, the 1943 Cardinals, or the 1944 Carpets feel? :)

The 1982 Colts and the 1960 Cowboys weren't truly winless, since they both had one tie, which counts as 1/2 win in the standings, and therefore they didn't have .000 winning percentages.

The Cardinals/Carpets (officially Card-Pitts) deserve special dishonor for going winless two seasons in a row, even with two franchises combined in 1944.

Nobody said anything about winning percentage. A tie isn't a win, thus those teams went winless. :)

People who doubt Orton really need to see his TD throw to Tony Scheffler.

Don't need to. I already saw his throw last year to "beat" Atlanta.

Yeah cause only bad QB's can have a bad throw.

I was referring to his TD throw that gave us the lead with 11 seconds left. I've always been a supporter of Kyle's for the most part.

My bad then. I just assumed it was another Bears fan post ragging on him simply because he used to be a Bear and if he does well it makes the Cutler deal look bad so they have an delusional hatred for Orton ... etc.

Yes, that's why Bears fans rag on Orton.

Please.

Kyle Orton could go 16-0 and win the damn NFL MVP and I would still love the Cutler trade. You know why? because Orton wouldn't be doing this with the Bears. He's in a system that suits him perfectly with winning parts around him. The Bears have a winning record because of Cutler, even with a horrid Offensive line, and a mediocre defense. Would they have a winning record with Orton? I'm pretty sure they wouldn't.

I don't fully disagree. I don't think Orton was the right QB for Chicago. I do think you are giving Cutler way too much credit at this point. He hasn't been that great so far. He has a been a good QB nothing more nothing less. He has thrown a lot of TD's but he has also thrown a lot of INT's and at the worst times.

Oh and the Bears were 9-6 with Orton last year so the Bears probably would have a winning record with him. However like I said Cutler is a better fit for Chicago and he will likely play a little more consistent as the season goes on.

Anyways the point I made earlier wasn't whether or not the trade was good. It was good for both sides. It was about the constant putting down of Orton and saying he sucks even though its obvious he doesn't.
