A little more on the Gruden-to-Louisville rumors. Michael Lombardi (who wrote this article) is apparently friends (or at least an acquaintance) with Gruden, so his thoughts may be pretty legit.

 

Therefore, the fundamental question is can they compete for Gruden? My answer is yes. To get Gruden to coach in college will take a lot of money and an administration that will not interfere with his ability to coach or recruit players. He needs to go to a school that only knows how to say one word—yes. Is Notre Dame a better spot? Yes, on the surface, because of the name and amazing tradition. But there are obstacles to overcome at Notre Dame that do not exist at Louisville. What about Virginia? Same as Notre Dame—great school, but it comes with restrictions. Florida State might be a great spot, but there seems to be some questions of who is actually in control.

Whole new ballgame now! Huge interception and TD by USF.

 

BJ Daniels extends plays like no QB I've seen at the college level since Vick.

 

I'm still trying to figure out how receivers aren't wide open after he runs around for 10 seconds every play. He definitely has potential though.

Broyles and Carter are going to be back vs Texas and start. I'm starting to finally feel good about this game. This is going to be the first time all year that OU is actually healthy for a game. Minus, of course, Gresham

We'll see. The team's pretty lost right now and the game is at your turf. I'm not too confident.

 

SIU-UNI is going to be the biggest regular season I-AA game of the season (as it usually is). Two top five teams going against each other with the winner, more than likely, winning the conference and getting the auto bid into the round of 16. We haven't won at UNI in nearly three decades, so I'm not too confident. A win against them would probably be our biggest win since I've been here, and that's counting the two wins we've had against I-A opponents as well as a couple of playoff wins.

It's one of the best. The Colonial is a pretty ridiculous conference with four teams of the top 7 teams and 7 in the top 25. Two weeks ago Villanova (2) played William and Mary (5) and last week Villanova (2) played New Hampshire (5). Richmond, which is the No. 1 team, still has games with Villanova (6) and William and Mary (7) and New Hampshire still has to play William and Mary.

 

I'd wager that both SIU and UNI will get into the playoffs (same with the four Colonial teams listed above) and that this game is probably more for getting a home game in the first round and potentially one of the four seeds. Since they'll be favored in each game from here on out, the winner has a pretty good chance of doing so.

You heard it here first. They'll make the official announcement tomorrow, but it appears unlikely they'll play.

btw, apparently some fsu players are reading on 2nd-grade level...
Maybe the rest of the players will get up there some day. :D

 

To be fair, my guess is that there are players on most Div 1 NCAA schools that do not belong there on any academic level.
