Even if Texas wins out, they could still be passed by a no loss Cincinnati in the computers. Who knows maybe even a one loss team like VT could pass them. I think Texas loses again, though. McCoy's three yard passes won't be enough against a much-improved Sooner defense.

The human polls make up two thirds of the BCS though. There's no way an undefeated Cincy finishes ahead of an undefeated Texas in the BCS.

 

As for VT, the BCS guru for ESPN actually has VT ahead of Texas in his projected BCS rankings but he says there's no way VT will stay ahead of UT if the Horns continue to win.

If Cincinnati is #3 in both polls and Texas is #4 in the computers they could be. I agree that it's not likely because of the voters, but it's something that could happen. A little part of me wants something completely unbelievable like to happen. It'll be the only way we get rid of this awful system and have some sort of a playoff. A preseason #2 team going undefeated and getting passed by a one loss team would do that. Cincy jumping them will also do something similar.

Hmm, I hadn't considered that Cincy might make that big a move in the human polls. I suppose that's possible.

 

I'm guessing the difference in computer rankings that Cincy and UT would get right now is as big as it's going to be at any point in the season and would only shrink from here on out.

I'm afraid your boys are gonna git a beat down this comin Saturday, sonny! The Great Mack Brown got this un circled on the calender for near a year now! The real mccoy will shoot down the sooners and claim the bronzed trophy that was tragicaly stolen from him last year!

 

Okay? Have fun with that. What's really funny is that Mccoy has never won the big XII :-))

McCoy was on the 2005 Texas football team. He has national championship and big xii championship rings. The former of which Sam Bradford will never have.

Mccoy has never even led his team to a big XII championship.

it's as much his fault as anyone else's. If you're on a football team you all share the blame for everything that happens. It wouldn't of mattered if his DB dropped that pick if Mccoy had led Texas to a two score lead. The BCS wouldn't have come into play if Mccoy could've led his team to a win over texas tech. It's his fault as well
