Plus the ref makes it worse by saying the call stands - i.e. he actually thinks it's an interception. The least he could have said was there wasn't enough evidence to overturn the call. That still would have been BS, but it would have been a more legitimate excuse.

That's what "the call stands" means. Otherwise he would've said "the call is confirmed".

I thought they just said the call stands in all cases in college. I'm sure refs have said confirmed in college and I've heard it in the pros but I can't remember hearing it in college.

I've heard 'confirmed' a few times in college.

The Big Ten needs to do something about this, because this is embarrassing for the league. You can't just blatantly hand games to the big-ticket team in the conference without repercussion.

Yeah. Big Ten refs suck. I'll never understand why Witvoit or whatever his name is, is allowed to ref Michigan games.

I can't believe I'm getting Illinois vs. OSU instead of Miami/VTech.

And ESPN for some reason is trying to show Illinois here despite the fact that it's blacked out because it's on ABC

I've got Cal/Oregon on ABC. I really want to see what Harris can do against Tech in Blacksburg. He's fun to watch.

I'm back home for the weekend about two hours from Champaign-Urbana, and the Illini game is blacked out here...anyone know what's going on? Tech-Miami is on ABC, and ESPN says it's not available.

ETA: what Derwood said, except the other way around.

You really think that is happening? Indiana's failure to convert and settle for fg's over and over again had nothing to do with the game. Was it a bad call, yes. Indiana failed to win this game more than anything.

It's becoming increasingly hard to ignore that Michigan gets just about every game-changing call at home. Every single one. There will always be reasons that the other team should have kept it from mattering, but the fact is you shouldn't have to play a game knowing you're going to get screwed.

Same here. Why? ESPN is specifically reserved for the secondary game in a market. Why aren't we getting it? I don't want to watch Illinois-OSU when VT-Miami and Cal-Oregon are playing.

I think if you go back and read Andy's posts from week to week you'll find that all teams other than ND have the refs in their back pocket.

Still, I'm a diehard Michigan fan and even I think they got the call wrong on that interception. Indiana definitely lost the game though by not converting in the red zone. Pathetic effort by Michigan today. That's 2 games in a row that they've looked like crap.

And I think you're full of [expletive].
