Considering the already-weak Notre Dame schedule, I shouldn't be preparing to laugh if/when Purdue and Michigan lose to their respective MAC opponents Toledo and WMU tomorrow. But I still am.

(Praying karma doesn't kick me in the ass regarding ND/Nevada for saying this.)

ND's playing probably 6 bowl teams this year, including the Pac-10 and Big East favorites. It amazes me that, as an ND fan, you're perpetuating this "our schedule is so weak" crap. I expect it from ESPN and talking heads, but seriously, do you really want to play 8 conference champs every year?

It's weak by Notre Dame standards. I don't think it's as ridiculously weak as the talking heads are making it seem (other than the two Washington schools, there isn't a total joke team to be found), but there aren't too many games on the slate that jump out at you either. I guess I long for the schedules of Lou's days when there were at least a few big-ticket games a year.

Anyway. Go Irish! Beat Wolf Pack!

Watching Navy is like watching a high school team. They play like they'll get fined for every forward pass.

It seemed to work that drive.

Oh, it serves them fine. It just makes it pretty much impossible to make any sort of comeback against a team, and I personally find it a boring style of football to watch for more than a couple minutes at a time.

Well, Iowa is pissing me off.

UNI's going to keep that game close for a while before Iowa puts it away in the 4th.

10-3 UNI. I swear if we lose this I'm quitting sports.

Lou Holtz, get off my TV. He said Charlie Weiss is the most underrated coach in the country. Try most overrated.

No kidding. How can anything related to Notre Dame be underrated?

Clearly Iowa got caught looking ahead to next week. Really though, as awesome as it would be for Iowa to lose to UNI (still a long way to go) it might force them to actually show up in Ames next week.

I also think UNI is a very good football team. That doesn't mean they should be up 10 on a top 25 FBS team though (not that Iowa deserves to be one right now)
