there should be a drinking game - when bob davie says a team should do one thing, the team does the opposite and it pays off in spades, you have to do a shot. the downside is that you'd be dead by halfway through the second quarter.

Told you guys Oregon was overrated.

 

I actually picked Boise to win this one. Part of it is that I'm not completely sold on Oregon, but part of it was I am sold on Boise and Chris Petersen.

watching the quality of play in these two games makes me kinda glad that penn state is playing a bunch of OOC cream puffs to start the year.

 

Yeah, Tennessee opening against Western Kentucky this year after opening against UCLA and Cal the past three years will be nice.

 

Of course then Tennessee gets UCLA and Florida back to back, but that's a different story.

hey he said they owed boise st an ass-whuppin...probably just wanted to follow through on his word.

 

He also said his goal was to get 2000 yards this season. 2005 to go...

it was probably just trash talk about blount's ass-whuppin comment and blount hauled off and slugged him. he'd get suspended for that, but then going after fans and his own teammates? i'd think that would get him a harsher punishment from the team/university.

I'm about a half hour behind and the announcers just said he was suspended and kicked out of the very first practice of the summer.

ISU with their usual not-so-convincing win in the opener. 34-17 final, but it was closer than that. At least the special teams unit is awesome. Oregon with 14 yards at half is pretty awesome as well.

 

 

You'll still play outstanding next week and we'll play poorly.

They never replayed where he jacked his teammate. He had his helmet on, but he threw a punch at his face also.
