Jake Fox, could he win Rookie of The Year?

Pablo Sandoval probably will, and Fox doesn't play everyday.

Pablo cannot win Rookie of the Year.

I wonder what would happen if Sandoval got the most votes. I mean, the voters have proven that they'll vote for a guy even if he isn't a rookie (Edinson Volquez last year).

Would they just give it to the second place guy? Make everyone vote again? It would be pretty funny to see it happen.

I imagine they give it to the second place guy?

Fox has played everywhere else this year. Why don't we try him at second and see how that goes? It surely couldn't hurt.

oh, it could definitely hurt

Just like him playing at third cost us a bunch of games, right?

I say it could hurt, not that it would

Uh ... how can that be possible? I would assume the voters get a list of all eligible rookies or something. Or at least, any voter who accidentally votes for an ineligible player would be notified and told to revote.

Playing him at third, a position at which he has a decent amount of experience and the correct skillset to play at an even acceptable level is a completely different animal than putting him at second. I'd say he'd be about as successful at second as Geovany Soto.

Nope, last year Vloquez got votes. Even though he lost his rookie status in like 06.

Probably not my best idea but I'd like to see his bat in the lineup more.

They must not get a list because they voted for Volquez last year and he wasnt eligible

Remember when Pujols played 2nd last year? Think about that every game.

There is a reason why big bulky power hitters tend to be corner IF/OF, just like theres a reason why power hitting SS/2B tend to move to the corners later in their careers (ex. ARod)

Id rather just put Soriano there and Fox in LF.

ARod is not a good example of that. The only reason he moved to 3rd base was because of the Yankees infatuation with God Derek Jeter.

For some reason the game is blacked out on my DirecTV extra innings package;can anyone explain to me why? I called them 1 time regarding blacked out events and they really couldn't answer my question; i live in Oklahoma so i can't figure out why i can't get his broadcast

The 5:00 EST start put it within ESPN's exclusive Sunday Night Baseball window. Blame the Marlins.

Ok, thanks for letting me know that; much obliged!!

Fontenot just had a good at bat, wow.

You mean the guy that doubled earlier? (what should have been a HR in any decent park)

Edinson Volquez received 9 votes and finished fourth in the voting last year even though he wasn't a rookie.
