In my opinion:

 

The Cubs are better than they've played.

The Reds, Astros, Brewers and maybe Cardinals are all playing better than they actually are.

The Cubs are still right there.

I'll take even money that they don't have an eight-game winning streak between now and the end of the season.

Lannan has a serious reverse platoon split so I might have played Fontenot or Fuku here. I like this lineup a lot from 1-6, though.

Yes, and the enemy has only been the Pirates 6 times so far!

 

12 already against the Cardinals, 12 against the Astros, 10 against the Brewers. Means we still have quite a few against the likely fading Reds and Pirates.

Yes, and the enemy has only been the Pirates 6 times so far!

 

12 already against the Cardinals, 12 against the Astros, 10 against the Brewers. Means we still have quite a few against the likely fading Reds and Pirates.

Too bad we didn't catch the Mets already like everyone else and get to beat up their AA team.

Someone told me that the Nats have the 3rd best offense in the NL. that cant be right, can it?

 

Currently they are 5th in the NL in OPS, 8th in the NL in runs scored. (CUBS are 13th & 15th).
