The Cubs pitching staff has been 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in the NL each of the last 3 years. That's the main reason Rothschild has stayed-his pitching staff has been consistently excellent.

I'd trade Santo for Stone in the booth ASAP, but I wouldn't want Stoney as my pitching coach. He has too many other interests.

 

The Cubs starting pitching is the one good thing about the team. The one thing Hendry knows is starting pitching. Rothschild is more than capable.
