Love how Lou put Hoffpauir in against one of the toughest pitchers in the game, now we wont see him again for another few days

Nice night Hoff. Glad we bench the guy who hit a bomb last week off Peavy, and hit the ball hard 3 times last night.

Yup because its easy to get an at bat a game at most and then be thrown out there against Jake Peavy

Nothing like following a 6 game winning streak with potentially a 5+ losing streak.

2 runs in our last 33 innings or 99 outs.

Refresh my memory, were the Cubs ever quite this bad last year, even in the rough early July and early September stretches?

in 2008 the cubs got swept by Tampa and Sox but still scored 9 runs each series

in sept they got swept by houston and lost 2 of 3 to reds scoring 12 runs in the loses but 14 in the win at Reds

youre right, not quite this bad

He has absolutely no pitch recognition and looks pretty damn gawdawful

I hope this quiets the "Hoffpaiur for hall of fame" talk

When Derrek Lee starts to out homer Ryan Theriot I'm sure it will.

That's gotta be it for Peavy though, right?

Does it even matter? I am betting you could hold us to 1 run.

In all fairness, Carpeter, Wainwright, and Peavy are three really tough starters to touch up. Still, scoring one run over 4 games is beyond inexcusible - as is being shutout by Pinerio - but I'm just saying.

They have to break out of it sometime really soon.

And....when I'm typing this Blanco somehow legs out a triple. I give up.

Yeah strange call. Hoff has been good, but not exactly a wise move.
