Actually I'm serious about Miles

I'll pay the rest of his contract myself dude. If I ran into Miles on the street I would plead with him to retire for the sake of my team he's that bad

He's worse than Neifi dude

We're not this bad.

it would take oh so very much to even get back to good

Not really. I'd just like to see some assertiveness out of Piniella and the front office. They're just assuming various players are going to "snap out of it", which isn't good enough.

I have an idea. Whoever is pitching tomorrow, throw one at Gonzalez in the 1st. Try to make him a little uncomfortable up there. If you don't want to throw it up and in, just throw it at his knees. Make him move his feet at least. This is ridiculous.

That ought to get our offense going.

You really are cornering the market on deconstructive posting.

Adrian Gonzalez is the least of our problems right about now.

Hahaha Lee thought he got that one. You got no power. Just retire already.

Did his bat just slow down? I mean what's the deal with him?

I think he was on the juice myself.

Many of us thought he'd be bad, but I don't know if anyone thought he'd be this bad.

Tough to come back from wrist injuries, unfortunately. I seem to remember reading that a lot of his success in 2005 came from him making adjustments and beaing able to turn on inside pitches. That's pretty much out the window with a lot of wrist injuries, plus it's going to slow down his swing (coupled with natural decline). It's an unfortunate perfect storm of debilitation.

I think the wrist injury combined with his age is a better answer than any nebulous "he was on steroids" reason

The wrist didn't help for sure, but since pretty much everyone was on the juice in that era I don't see why I can't think lee was as well.

It couldn't hurt anything. He's hit 5 HRs in 4 games. They need to do something. It's the same thing with Pujols. Maybe if somebody would knock him down every now and then he might stop killing us.

Maybe a good bench clearing situation would wake em up. At least we would know they care.
