Call it blissful ignorance, but I don't think Lee was on the juice. Now Soto, on the other hand...

I think his biggest problem now is he's back on the fat.

no, he got on steroids for 2 years - completely ignoring the minor league and major league testing that was in place - lost 30 lbs as a result of the steroids, then decided to stop using them even though they made him really awesome and helped him win an NL rookie of the year award. plus all he got out of it was a call up to the big leagues - no long term contract or anything.

this story doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

I'm usually the biggest defender of Cub's players, but they look like they have given up to me. No energy, no hustle, just up there hacking away with no kind of clue what they are doing. This week reminds me of the Dodger's playoff series last year, decent enough pitching with no offense and shoddy defense. It has officially become a chore to watch this team. Pathetic.

The good news is Bear's Training Camp is just around the corner. Bear Down!!!

yo i dont even care if we keep losing, I just want to see some scoring, at the very least to get Fukudome some stats for my fantasy team

like losing 7-6 every night would at least be exciting you know, this is just dreadful

Lou might just retire after the game. It's clear the players don't care right now and they are in a nasty funk.

God I hate these West Coast road trips.

As opposed to the teams that look pumped and excited during a losing streak?

I can't really consider it a fake rally unless the tying/winning run comes to bat, otherwise they are just getting some garbage time stat hoarding

What?

I don't care how much money a player makes on any level: if their team is in a prolonged slump, pretty much everyone looks and acts miserable.
