Here we are again, the Illini vs. the Badgers, I really believe with a balls to walls effort the Illini can kick the [expletive] out the Badgers. Probably won't get that kind of a game from the Illini, we'll get the usual come out with little to no effort, get down big then, decide to play, etc.

I would like to disagree. Although the Illini have a very good chance at winning, they will not "kick the #@$% out of the Badgers."

 

The Badgers only have 1 double digit loss all year (by 13 vs. Gonzaga in Maui), all other losses less than 10, including trips to OSU (9, without Leuer), MSU (7), and Purdue (3, coulda/shoulda win, also without Leuer) when all of those teams were fully healthy (with Turner, Lucas, and Hummel).

 

Should be the best game today. I hope Bo sends Leuer and Nankivil to defend the 15-17 footers by Tisdale and Davis. I also hope we don't get into foul trouble, cause the Illini do that to us. It'll be interesting to see which McCamey shows up.

 

Has Bruce used a zone at all this year? It's gotten to Wisconsin when we've played OSU and Minne.

We've used a zone sparingly. I doubt we'll use it today. My bold prediction is if DMac plays well we win, if not we lose.

You're probably correct, it's more my frustration with the under performing Illini, e.g., Davis with his laid back 15-17 footers makes it easy on the opponent. If he ever got the mind to take it to the hoop and play with some fire he could make it very tough on opponents.

After watching most of these conference tournaments, I think it's pretty evident that we're going to see a mid-major somewhere make a huge run. College basketball is pretty down this year from my point of view.
