Texas, KSU, Baylor, Mizzou, and Cal.

The first four I am on board with being better than Vandy. The last one, no way.

Temple and aTm too. Also, 4 of those 7 wins are on the road.

Damn I forgot they played at Temple. That was one of their games I missed. Still, lately they haven't been playing very well. I still stand by thinking those are the two best teams in America and will play for the title.

The difference in SOS is pretty dramatic. KU#23, Kentucky#71. And KU still has a home game vs. kenpom's #10(KSU) and a roadie vs. #13 (Mizzou).

I'm the first to admit KU hasn't looked like the juggernaut I was hoping for. They should steamroll teams like Nebraska, ISU, and CO, but they end up being tight games. But UK has played almost nobody. They'll get tested at Vandy and at Tennessee, but their schedule is just weak.

I truly believe, once they get into the second and third round of the tourney, they'll see teams that can beat them. I just don't see them making it out of the round of 16.

Of course, I said the same thing about Memphis in '08.

So a 4/5 seed right now will beat them?

Right now according to Lunardi 4/5 seeds are:

New Mexico

Vanderbilt (who they already beat)

Pittsburgh

Gonzaga

BYU

Texas

Wake Forest

Temple

Out of those teams I see really nobody that will beat them.

Thanks ESPN, for raising my hopes by telling me ESPN2 SD switched to the Mizzou game in the KC area. Automatically switching my 360 feed to Nebraska/K-State was a nice touch too.

I dunno. They've struggled with worse teams than many of those. (Auburn, Miss St. w/o it's best player, So Carolina)

There's no reason to think Pittsburgh, BYU, Wake, or Texas if they fired Rick Barnes and got a real coach couldn't beat them.

Foul-A-Minute officiating pisses me off.

Also, if ND-Louisville goes to triple overtime I may kill someone.

why does ed hightower hate basketball so much?

I think this is his wallpaper: http://i43.tinypic.com/14cfe5d.jpg

And by that I mean he wallpapered his house with it. 22 fouls in 17 minutes, unbelievable.

Iowa State would probably win a lot more if they stopped spotting teams 20 at the start of every other half. They also need to work on inbounding in one possession games with the shot clock turned off.

If anyone cares, Northwestern is sewing up an NIT bid in Evanston

:( Yeah giving Penn state it's only Big 10 win of the season in Evanston no less is pretty damaging for a team's NCAA hopes. Carmody has his team playing worse as the season goes on...

That flagrant was worse than the technical they called yesterday.

Hightower likes attention. And Tiller got rocked a possession or two ago.

Texas is getting frustrated and lashing out, and it's awesome.

That was the worst intentional foul I've ever seen and I say that with no hyperbole.

Last night Sims hit a 3 for Michigan with 5 seconds left to tie up the game with Iowa. On that shot he pulled his Reggie Miller, kick my feet out to draw contact and fell down. No foul was called. The interesting thing is that in the postgame Sims said Hightower told him that he would have called the foul if he missed the shot.

Ed Hightower ladies and gentlemen.

They're really not very deep. They don't have a bench at all and I think it's obvious that the lack of depth is catching up to them.

Still, there's no excuse to be embarrassed by Iowa at Iowa City and then losing at home to Penn State.

How is the top of Joe Tiller's head not a personal foul?

He can't control the fact that he's the missing link on the evolutionary scale.

That was a very satisfying win. Needed it badly, and Texas came unglued which made it all the more satisfying.
