For some reason Illinois was already in prior to this according to, well, everyone. But now I'd say you can't keep them out.

I don't know if I'd say everyone, as Jerry Palm still has them out and John Gasaway/Joe Sheehan had them well out prior to today (and even guys who had them in like Glockner and Lunardi had them as the last team in not including the result of today's game). But now with 4 top 25 wins (3 of them away from home), it'd be difficult to envision a scenario where they don't make it, unless there are a ton of upsets in the remaining conference tourneys (say, Northwestern, Miami, Georgia, San Diego State, UCLA, Nevada, Rhode Island and Southern Miss all winning their respective tourneys).

Yeah, they're in now. I was leaving them out up til this point, but they've earned the benefit of the doubt. Thing is, they're perfectly capable of beating OSU tomorrow too if the Buckeyes play like they did today.

If Illinois somehow beats Ohio State and then Purdue/Michigan State in the finals, I'd have no idea where to put them in the field.

The Illini tried real hard to blow it fortunately for them and us Illini fans, the clock ran out. Also, Bill Cole is a turn over machine idoit of a basketball player.

Absolultely loved the play where Tisdale brings the ball down and get stripped by a 6+ plus guard and then commits a foul. To be fair though he was hacked on that strip but, still, idoit, your a seven footer don't bring the ball down until the traffic clears!!!!

For you Illini fans, Myers Leonard will be playing on TV at 8 pm tonight in the state tourney in Peoria. Check your local listings for channel, but on DirectTV here its channel 26

Oh and my God I about had a heart attack in those final 3 mins. Hughes hit some ridiculous shots, especially the 3 over Cole from the top of the key. No idea how that went in.

For those who got a chance to watch the early games, did Gus Johnson do the calls on the Big Ten network, or does the network just have the later games?

HAHA! Northwestern 5 - 5 on 3-point attempts. Purdue is going down.

11 minutes, 9 turnovers.

Desperately need to get Johnson to pick up foul #3.

BTN is only doing the evening games today, both with Gus Johnson and Shon Morris.

Damn, was really hoping he was calling the Turner shot.

The two evening games better not be duds cause Gus Johnson calling the two early games would have been epic.

The refs have been incredibly consistent on foul calls in the first half aside from a couple of missed calls that they didn't see, yet Purdue's players are stunned every time the whistle blows in Northwestern's favor.

eh, Moore was fouled on that 3-point attempt (with no call)... but yeah, Hart definitely fouled your guy too...

Yeah, there were a couple of missed calls, but they've called the same body contact on both teams the entire half.

If it's a typical Big Ten officiated game, though, they'll call nothing in the second half.

Not having Mirkovic's passing abilities is killing us. That and 11 turnovers...
