Yeah, Brackins has regressed a ton this year. Gilstrap is easily the MVP of this team, and would be a bigger loss if he doesn't get a 6th year.

i bet he leaves anyway.

Weber State is so stupid. Down one with Montana shooting one more free throw and 2.1 left, they take their last timeout. So the Montana guy smartly misses the second free throw on purpose and Weber can't do anything.

That coach is [expletive].

He might, but his ball handling isn't close to NBA ready yet. He'd probably end up in Europe or the D-League.

Sosa is putting up the first memorable, ridiculous performance of March Madness if Louisville comes back and wins this.

The guy from Montana that put up 42 in a 66-65 game has that locked up.

Edit: 34 points in the second half. Wow.

What a horrendous 2nd half performance by Weber State. How do you not double team Johnson at all?

Haha. Yeah that's pretty dumb.

Speaking of coaches I was watching the ND game today with my dad and we were talking about Brey. My dad made a comment about how ND learned how to play with Luke out and I came to the realization that the turnaround of ND only makes Brey look worse. ND winning without Luke shows they had the talent all year to be very good but Brey just didn't get the right game plan or motivate them correctly. I'm not saying Brey is an awful coach or that he is solely to blame (the players share some blame too) but the turnaround shows they could have been much better this year and last.

Sosa has to be like a 7th year senior.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm sick of the refs calling games differently for Nebraska hoops.

Oh, you're the guy that takes a claim and exaggerates it, cool.

Oh, you're the guy everybody thinks is Mizzou under a new username.

I haven't heard anybody else claim that and it's not true.

For as shitty as the Pac-10 was this year, the Oregon v. WSU games has been very entertaining, especially the last 5ish minutes of the 2nd half.

Indiana/Minnesota Big Ten Tourney game from '08 on BTN now. IU shoots about 7 consecutive free throws in a couple minutes here.

That was a very strange day. I was living with an IU fan and a Purdue fan at the time and to see both of their teams which had dominated so much attention during hoops season flame out spectacularly in the league tournament was surreal.

Well the NCAA has denied the appeal in record time, so no speculation is needed. This sucks.

As bad as things are for Iowa that would have been an excruciating season for ISU fans.

Will be interesting to see if Iowa has already packed it in or if they put together a decent game. Last year they got stomped by Michigan and looked like they didn't want to be there. As it turned out, 1/3 of the team transferred so they really didn't want to be there.

Rumors flying about a possible key transfer and Lickliter's future but I'm not buying them yet. If Fuller or another starter leaves he needs to be gone. The only thing I wonder about is if Barta hears about a transfer or two and they decide on a buyout but present it as Lickliter resigning due to health concerns to save face for everyone.

meyers is good, hopefully he gets time.

I think he will end up being a better player than Richmond.

yeah, i think i'm on record as saying that, too.

You said Head would better than Richmond too

oh, are their illini careers over yet, jerk?

If Jereme Richmond is the worst of those 3 recruits, we will win a national title.

i'd say there's a good chance that illinois is in the national title mix even if he's the best.

but yeah, richmond should clearly be the top-rated talent coming out of high school. there's an edge to him, though, that could end up taking him in either direction.

Go [expletive] yourself.

That IU game was awesome though. Chris and I would yell for the opposite reasons. I remember yelling happily on the buzzer shot and Chris yelling, "NO" and then hearing him punch the wall.

Lickliter rumors are blowing up to the point of hitting the CR Gazette. One of the premium message board posters who has almost always been right says the decision has been made. The Purdue fan/Indiana AAU coach who is connected within Iowa basketball office and posted about all of the transfers before they happened also says it appears that he's out.
