I'm afraid to look up whether or not Northwestern has the worst defense in Big Ten history. As Big Ten Stat Geeks put it the other week, watching Northwestern is like watching an NBA All-Star game (with a 35 second shot clock). Good offensive efficiency, but you'll get the defense of a middle school team.

I think Henry or Aldrich will be better. Henry has more star potential. I doubt Aldrich will be great, but I think he'll play in the NBA for a long time because of his D and rebounding. I love Marcus, but I think his size and athleticism will hurt him in the NBA.

I think Henry or Aldrich will be better. Henry has more star potential. I doubt Aldrich will be great, but I think he'll play in the NBA for a long time because of his D and rebounding. I love Marcus, but I think his size and athleticism will hurt him in the NBA.

Aldrich, imo, is gonna flop and hard. No offensive moves and not very atheletic. Plus I think he will be in foul trouble a lot.

I think I agree there. I just don't know how high his ceiling is. He needs a quicker offensive move. He holds the ball/maneuvers way too long when he gets it.

Notre Dame can get its dancing shoes ready, beating Marquette on the road in OT to finish 10-8 in the Big East. The game went into OT on a buzzer-beating triple by Carleton Scott to end regulation.

 

To think, a month ago I looked at our last five games (@L'ville, Pitt, @G'Town, UConn, @Marquette) and saw no wins. Instead these Irish go 4-1, would've gone 5-0 if the refs hadn't allowed Samardo Samuels to foul out every single one of our forwards. Harangody played sparingly, scored 5 points.

 

ND is probably in no matter what happens in NYC now, though a win against the 10 seed in round 2 would lock it up for certain.

 

Great win for L'Ville too against the Cuse to take away any pretense of being on the bubble. The Big East looks good for 8 teams in the tourney.
