Lunardi does his bracket as a snapshot of the current date, regardless of future schedules. If we go 0-2 from here, I think he'd have us out.

There are a surprisingly high amount of brackets that have Illinois in at this point. That win at Wisconsin has a LOT of weight. The bubble overall is so weak this year that a win like that really sticks out.

I'm not saying they're safely in now, but I really think they'd be safe if they can win 1 of their next 2 against Wisconsin.

Yep, we also would have been in had we just beaten awful Minnesota.

UNI was down 24-13 with 7:59 left in the 1st against Drake. With 7:59 left in the 2nd half it's 44-27 UNI. Drake hasn't had a field goal for 20 minutes and counting.

Edit: Streak over after 21 minutes.

UNI should have done enough now to get an at-large bid.

They've beaten one team with an at-large chance (Old Dominion)

All 4 of their losses are to non-tourney teams, 2 of them awful (DePaul and Evansville)

That said, yes, I'm rooting for UNI, so no bid gets stolen

Outside of RPI, UNI doesn't deserve an at-large really. They have as many marks against them as they do in their favor.

It's why the RPI needs to go far far away. It's outlived its usefulness even as a way to rank wins (i.e. record vs top 50, top 100)

Ah, the dilemma of a surprisingly good mid-major. UNI wasn't thinking they were going to be real good this season, so they have a soft OOC schedule. Are they 25-4 good? Probably not. But they aren't 17-13 UConn bad either.

UNI returned nearly everyone from a team that went to the tournament last year and lost to Purdue by 5. They were definitely expecting to contend for a bid this year. I think they're still in because dominating a top 10 conference looks good, but it's closer than most people are predicting right now.

UNI is playing for seeding right now. Win in the semi's they are a 6 seed, win it all they are a 5. If they lose today they get a a 7/8 seed.

Err...no. Win it all and they'll probably sneak into the 8-9 game. Lose today, they might not make it in.

Holy [expletive], I would love being an 11/12 seeded Illinois team playing UNI. We'd beat them by 20.

I think we'd win, but doubt we would blow them out. For some reason we haven't really blown anyone out this year. We play to the level way too often.

Luke Harangody dressed and will play vs Marquette, coming off the bench. Presumably he'll get very limited minutes. He's got to work his knee back into playing shape.
